Bought from NewStars and using Note 5 6GB version. Very snappy and the camera is surprising good. Just only the portrait mode is very fake looking.

I'm on China ROM. Not sure if Indian Note 5 Pro ROM can be flash onto it.

This may be a good read to clear up the confusion!:s8:

http://en.miui.com/thread-2151903-1-1.html

the review stated that "unfortunately after testing with 2 different QC 3.0 chargers, the maximum amperes is 2.51, therefore this falls under QC 2.0 only. Our maximum intake for Redmi Note 5 Pro India was 2.32 Amperes".

is the part about QC3.0 current true? from what i've read, it seems to be more about optimisation of voltage. anyway, should be able to test charging times using QC2.0 and QC3.0 chargers.

lol even rom between mi3 and mi4 can be flashed when they used the same codename. A "Device Team" on a forum that thinks 1.25 micron pixels is better than 1.4 microns can be trusted now?

As one of the early adopters of the Redmi Note 5 China, I did share previously here that I also felt the charging speed was only at QC 2.0 max, after carrying out the charging test using my Anker QC 3.0 charger and Verbatim QC 3.0 compatible cable :(

I suspect it's the hardware chip (i.e. network and camera). Even the shop in collected from warned me not to.flash

reminder that note 4x has 3 different back cameras, and every chinese variant has different band support from global variants.

Global rom worked on all of those.

hell mi3 and mi4 had different SOCs and it worked.

I just ordered one. Seller asks whether I want to do a quality control check and rom flashed to global or I can choose to leave the seal intact. Which is the better choice?
