Camera specs seems to suggest it is Redmi Note 5 AI but the spec also says the Android is version 7. Acc. to gsmarena, Redmi Note 5 AI si on Android 8.

I asked them on Lazada is this Redmi Note 5 AI and they said yes.

I am confused so I am holding back my purchase.

this is the chinese version where the seller opens the box and flashes the official global rom. good deal for 280.

Bro, I went to http://en.miui.com/ but I couldn't find any global ROM for the Chinese variant of Redmi Note 5 AI so I am not sure if this is really the Chinese variant.
