Not sure if this the problem. I have my "Keep WIFI on during sleep" set to Always.

Anyone had issues with their phone not showing notifications until the phone is opened? I am getting delayed notification from Gmail and WhatsApp, I had to open the app themselves before I receive messages (also, I can't keep connected to WhatsApp web because of that - had to open WhatsApp on my phone every now and then, which defeats the purpose)

I have already set them (Gmail and WhatsApp) as "priority" under App Notifications. I am running the stock rom (China). Thanks!

China rom has this problem because of their configuration with regards to google services and facebook. Flash to Global ROM and it eill be okay

no. the issue is with miui battery saver.

turn on autostart for app and set battery saver to no restriction.

2 hours to full charge using my samsung charger (based on estimated time to fully charge as shown on the phone). 4 hours if on PC USB.

RN5>R9S. R9s using only 625 so performance is not as good as the 636 found in RN5. definitely worth the upgrade. And the battery life is a huge improvement since it has 4000mah compared to 3010mah on the R9s

How about R9s plus? Wanted to get a new phone, wanted to get Redmi Note 5 (6gb) but Xiaomi is not selling it yet. Was contemplating between R9s plus and Redmi Note 5.

Still Redmi Note 5. 636 > 652. 652 is old and not as efficient as the 636 because it is built on the 28nm compared to the 14nm on the 636.
