last we discussed, this global rom at the miui page is for india sets only

don't think it supports china sets fully. You can flash it, but the different camera is not suported, you can't take pics.
http://tw.miui.com/download-27.html#69

the real global rom for china hardware is this, if i'm not mistaken.

it's the taiwan market rom (china hardware, but runs global / google)

Just hooted one gold set from RWM earlier. Only left gold according to the guy. There was another guy who reserved one set and came to collect at the same time as mem

Franky speaking.. rather pay a bit more and get from rwm.. don't fancy gold colour

If you search a few.pages before I've written a post and others have tried successfully as well.
1) bind account and unlock bootloader using MI UNLOCK tool
2) download global 9.5.6 ROM from MI website
3) download and install MiFlash tool. Then install and Clean all (but dont lock bootloader)
4) if your ROM version is too high, Flash the WHYRED 9.2.7 version first then upgrade manually to 9.5.6

Export set ? You serious? Its global set, and its perfectly legal as it is still under $400, no need to declare custom duty or GST.

$25 more for a year warranty, compared to aliexpress 6 months warranty, then yes, but you have to understand this, buying from aliexpress is legal as its under $400, buying from local reseller may not be as it is labelled export set, which means no GST has been paid on it, and export set means they can not sell it locally, so, the choice is yours.

Looking at the sale at aliexpress, already 3000 sets have been ordered (8000 - 5000 yesterday), so, 3 more hours to go for those that want the sgd$266 note 5 4/64.

"Export set" for us means no Official local warranty support, not global or China set. The 6 months aliexpress warranty is as good as useless. You have to send it back at your own cost, and sending stuff to China is not cheap. If I want local set, I'll get from RWM. If I wanna get export set, I'll get from JTBC(shipment TBC). There's actually no reason to get from aliexpress.

If the shop is GST registered and produce an invoice, there should be GST paid or not, regardless of the product sold ?

export set means it was exported out of country of origin (china) .... not singapore because the stocks not taken from official distro in SG and the phone not manufactured in SG

Nope... Order got cancelled because JTBC didn't ship the order on time even after I extended Shopee guarantee(my order was b4 they updated the status to pre order). Have to re order again.

Just cancelled my order from JTBC. Really made my blood boil talking to them. The pinoy girl told me there's no stock when they responded a YES on Shopee when i asked if the stock is in for 32Gb Black. It's really an unpleasant experience and I would advise not to buy from this shop. Anyone can recommend the cheapest deal for 32GB Black?
