Actually it's for my mother, but her current 8GB micro SD card only use around 3GB for photos and videos so I was thinking if can just rely on internal memory instead if get the 64GB one.

well if she nv use any other apps beside a small offline or online games and maybe streaming videos that is big file size, both phones are fine.

Even if she fills up 8GB, you can always do maintenance. Try going thru the photo with your mother and see how many photo she actually does not want to get an idea. I myself have plenty ! ha ha....

Can just copy out to pc and quickly run through the photos.

One issue is when you go overseas for holiday for half a month or 1 month and when you want to take photos. That might be a problem if you run out of space. But can bring thumbdrive to copy out is she knows how. Or use google drive if reasonably quick network available and can access google drive.

Another problem is if you only use internal memory is that you really need to be discipline and backup your photos. If there is a problem, your photos still in SD even if you do a reset.

In any case, always should do backup in case phone is lost.

That's one reason I'm contemplating the change haha, the thought of the phone crashing and losing all memory..

I configured everything to save to SD Card for my Mama phone. Dunno which smart Alec changed the camera storage to internal.

One fine day she accidentally knocked her drink and that goes all the memories... 😠

If your SD card is full, I think the camera will fall back to internal. I sometimes had a problem with the SD card (non-permanent, just reboot will be ok) but the memory setting gets set to internal.

Best is to do backup regularly. If you have a NAS, you can use some app to backup automatically in the background via WIFI, for both internal DCIM, Whatsapp, etc... You don't need 4G data and your photo/data does not have to be uploaded to internet.

Got the carbon fullscreen glass from Taozi... no halo effect at the middle of the screen.... but the edges are pretty rough... and it actually reduces the effective screen area...
The middle part got stick to screen or on top only

Hi guys. I am exploring to get a RMN5 to replace my current RMN4. I understand there is the local Singapore set vs export China set. I was comparing the two version in lazada, specs look pretty much the same with about $50 difference.

local

export

The miui download is currently down, so I can't check. Can I understand if I buy the China set, is there an official global rom which i can flash this China set from Lazada? I have prior experience with RMN2 on China rom, didn't really like the feel of it.

Btw, Hi-Tec Mobile carries local Singapore sets wan? I was trying to find Mi Singapore in Lazada, but I cannot find RMN5 in their store.

Last time in Lumia WP I upload there too. Now 5GB is very little ah, my 30GB OneDrive also almost filled up alr.
I still got 10+ GB left in my 40GB OneDrive storage, cleared quite a chunk of photos/videos or else left 5GB only. :o
