i bought from a local shop who shipped it in from china.
when i boguht it they said 6 month wty (qoo10).
so i sent it back to the shop, they sent it back to china xiaomi service centre, then they brought it back lor.
china xiaomi should be the same as xiaomi singapore i am assuming, at most 1-2 days. but the shop of course will have to minimise expenses and try to ship it there and back along with their routine shipments.
took me 5 weeks to get it back. i understand the shop only sent it to China on week 3. then week 4 said repaired, but needed to wait until week 5 to follow their china shipment back to sg.
Bought from overseas?
This is why I rather pay a bit more to get a brand new set with local warranty from the usual shops. Who knows whether the overseas seller will ship a returned set with problems and pass the problems to the next customer.

well my screen was bent slightly so i'm not sure if it's due to that
in any case, mine started out as random restarts whenever the phone is in my pocket for a while. it eventually grew into power outages as i described, where it suddenly loses power and stays that way until i do something physical to it such as shaking or knocking it. during these power outage periods, plugging in the power cable doesn't charge it either.
i got it repaired by xiaomi china (through the shop i bought from in sg). they did it without charging me so it may not be related to bending at all. i'm simply told it's motherboard damage.
in any case, keep an eye out for your phone's condition aggravating. don't treat it as simply random restarts, in case it's the same issue as mine.
i totally ignored mine because i thought it was just restarts, no rush to fix it. mine just one day turned off in the morning on my way to work and for like 12 hours refused to turn on. luckily that night after some aggressive negotiations i somehow managed to turn it back on for 1 hour to backup my app data and whatsapp before it died for good thereafter.
i sent it back for service immediately.
i could very well have lost all my data that day. be careful with your "random restarts".
My wife's RMN5 AI seems to experienced the same symptoms. Phone keeps random restart. A few times, it'll turn off and very hard to power it up again.
How long did it took the shop to repair for you?
it's a motherboard change leh, u might as well buy a new phoneAny of you kana this problem and managed to find a shop locally to repair it for you? Which shop and how much was it?
Sry, I didn't follow what u wrote previously.Yes. Can go recovery but I did not click wipe data.
why not use exfatthis issue is bugging me. got myself the RN5 CN Global to muck around, and i got a 128gb sd card and i format it to ext3 in hopping to copy files > 4gb, i did various sw on win10 and also did the whole terminal script thingy on OSX, neither work.
i plug in the SDCard with ext3 and said i need to format the card back to fat32. i almost wanting to VMWare install or cloverboot a spare hdd to linux to do a Linux so i can natively format the SDCard to ext3.
qns where did i go wrong and i am still trying to figure this out, XDA and all usual forums doesn't yield any possible result.
seriously i have never seen anyone recommend ext3why not use exfat
seriously i have never seen anyone recommend ext3
everyone recommends exfat. that's the default android file system too, if u just format the card using your phone.
why even think of ext3??
oh i see.phone format is fat32, i checked and can upload files >4gb
- here is the tutorial that 1s get me to try ext3 sd card on RN5/Whyred, https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...ypassing-4gb-filesize-limit-micro-sd-t3799843
oh i see.
odd though, i've always used exfat from my rmn1 to rmn2 to rmn3 to rmn4 and now rmn5.
it's definitely supported.
i use my windows pc to format it then plop it in, it's fast and has no filesize limits.
Yup, already did.Note 5 pro users are you going to upgrade to pocophone less than 6 months?
