If you have one, close look at top left lcd panel. I found three sets have the lcd panel peel off issues. Slightly press on lcd panel, you ll see the panel is moving. After press it stay but peel off again after awhile.

U also can see some dust at front camera lends. Sent one set for warranty but less then two weeks same problem happened again.

The price of the phone is so reasonable that you can just replace another set without feeling heart pain.

According to my father who was using my phone then, they managed to spot some corrosion on the motherboard and claimed that it may be due to 'exposure to water' which may void warranty.

Got some problems with my 3G Redmi Note.
Just went oversea stay hotel with free wifi. The 3G note after connected
to the free wifi, a hotel login page supposed to pop up automatically but it
don't. So I cannot use the hotel free wifi. Same problem when at Changi
Airport transit area when want to use the free wifi. The page to key in mobile
number to get the pass code also don't pop up.
No problem with my iPad at the hotel & Airport. Once connected the page
will pop up for the needed login.
Anybody can advise?

Try going to your browser and load a webpage eg. Google. The WiFi login page may appear. :)

Hi everyone,

I'm currently using a samsung galaxy s3 non-lte for almost 3 years and I guess I'm pretty much looking for a new phone to last me for the next 2-3 years down the road.

My 1st choice was LG G3 beat ($249) but due to budget constrain I decided to go for Asus padfone mini ($199) BUT I'm now gonna settle for a Redmi because the padfone mini doesn't have camera flash hardware.

I need some advice - should I be looking to get either -

1. Redmi 1S ($89) or;

2. Note 3g ($119)..?

Assuming screen size and price diff of $30 is not much of an issue to me..?

My main concern is -

1. Battery life/performance (well, worst case scenario just carry extra battery which imho doesn't inconvenient me in anyway at all)

2. GPS stability (1S is snapdragon processor while the Note 3g isn't, though I'm clueless if chip processor affects GPS overall performance or not)

3. Dual-Sim functions (both got)

4. Does the difference in ram (1S - 1GB; Note 3g - 2GB) make a noticeable difference in daily usage operation?

Lastly, many thanks in advance as I would really appreciate if I can get some advice from redmi users here :)

both are consider on par with your current phone..you will not get any clear satisfaction from the 2 phone...except for the feeling of a new phone (like a new OS) and keeping you busy installing all the apps you want again..

my advice is, aim for higher spec phone...unless your S3 is really koyak already..

If your existing contacts are synced to Google, they should automatically appear on the Redmi when you sign in to your Google account

I'm having a love/hate relationship with my s3. It's buggy enough at times to drive me nuts. And sad to say, there isn't any highend model out in the market right now that is really enticing at the moment.

Is it a want or more of a need for me? I'll say 50/50. I guess I want to get a phone now more for stability, durability and good battery life and at $89/$119 for either 1S/Note 3g I think I can afford to pamper myself a little :D

then go for note.

It's a better device device than any redmi 1/1S

So is the difference in chip is negligible?
