Hi everyone,

My Redmi Note 4G USB port suddenly got burned yesterday. I only gotten this phone on Feb this year. I brought the phone to service centre for repair but they said it's chargeable. Anyone has a spoil Redmi Note 4G so that I can replace the lower USB board myself? Or know any places where I can source for it? I am really desperate. Thanks.
why is it chargeable? yours isn't bought from xiaomi sg?

Use 65daigou, economy air @$2 to ship to SG. But whether the board works or not you need to read the reviews to check but should be a headstart for you to search from.

From Xiaomi SG since I got the set from SingTel. It is not covered under warranty since the 2 white stickers become red indicating water spillage.
oh then just pay xiaomi for repairing lor

they don't charge excessively i think, and they use original parts

but do note that they can't just replace the usb port only. i think u need to change the whole motherboard. that's gonna cost a fair bit but nonetheless it's best to have a xiaomi original motherboard done by a xiaomi tech

If need to charge for motherboard. May be it cost more then the phone price already.

I've noticed my Redmi Note 4G has some deadspots on the left and right edges of my touchscreen (does not respond to touch).

Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions on what I can do to fix it?

(Phone was left unused for about 6 months, and noticed the problem when I took it out to use this week...)

Out of stock now. Is a good deal rite?

I was looking at youtube videos about comparison on the redmi note 3G vs 4G variant.. the 3G variant seem to perform faster, and I forgot which one has a marginally better battery efficiency. Most of the videos were saying get the 4G only if you use 4G. Personally I am totally clueless of all the benchmark terms they use to compare, and I normally switch off 4G on my Samsung Note 4 to begin with so 3G variant seem better for me.

i had both, 3G was indeed better with better battery life. The 4G model also had issues with heating up easily. But that was on old firmwares quite some time ago, no idea if any changes with recent firmwares.
