as per any update .. especially major ones like this.

its best to backup, than perform the update.

to get the best results, its always recommended to backup, format, than update.

If you got nothing important..than go ahead and just update. it will not format.
i did and it was fine.

Anyone knows why i can't use the data network on note 4g. Prepaid user here. I bought data plans but somehow it don't work on this phone.

Need to wait 5 days after the sim was purchase before you can activate the 4G..

redmi note's connect-via-usb function was always shaky for me

connect the phone to the same router as your com

open file explorer (i forgot the exact name), below u see an ftp button

click on the ftp button, click "start server"

an ftp address will be shown to u, e.g. "ftp://192.168.xxx.xxx:2121", just type that into your computer's explorer window address bar
