If less than $250 will be a good price IMO. It will be good to see more new player like Xiaomi force to bring down the hp price of Apple and Samsung in future...

slightly more than redmi is my guess...get the 2gb version shod be $240 plus

Note that is only a 720p screen. Some may not like it especially on such big screen. But then, I think I can live with it since it so much cheaper. 720p is not that bad in my eyes.
think they chose a 720p panel so it won't consume so much battery

yes seeing how xiaomi price their redmi, mi3 and even the earphone, it's gonna cost almost the same as the price in china.

Maybe .... but most MIC (low cost, large screen phones) are 720p.

The exception in Redmi Note is its OS, and a much faster processor as compared to its MIC peers.

Is note comes with Kit Kat? or ANy upgrade planned for Kit Kat?

If note is using the mediatek core, highly unlikely got kitkat yet..

Kitkat is tied to the manufacturer processor. Currently if I not wrong, mediatek does not support kitkat yet. Wait for manufacturer port it to Kitkat first.

Currently Qualcomm processor supports kitkat, therefore Mi3 will likely see kitkat upgrade sooner.

Yes from telco must buy with prepaid or top up card.

There are no other official site. You risk buying a fake, incompatible version or with China warranty.
