Xiaomi redmi note

I'm having this issue whereby whatsapp msg sometimes do not get pushed automatically. I have set to 'always pop up', but sometimes it doesn't work. I have to go into the app them the msg will appear.

I have locked whatsapp to prevent it from deleting it from background, have also 'trusted' the app in security.

Anyone else having this problem on their note?

It works for me in Windows 8 so it should work in Windows 7 too.

What do you see on your phone when you plug in the redmi note to your pc ?

I tried for you using my redmi note. My no-brand usb couldn't detect it at all. Then I use the usb provided by xiaomi to try. At first it read it as a camera and can't detect. But after plugging in and out the usb a few times, it appears as a "HM NOTE 1W" and I can then access the phone storage + SD card data.

Thanks for the advise. Problem solved. There are actually 2 problems for my case.

1) You are right, I've used a usb cable with charging lines (supply & ground) only. Cable provided by Xiaomi comes with data lines as well instead.

2) I've plugged my usb cable on the FSB & thus insufficient supply. Changed to usb port on the back.

Finally got my note. Using Redmi 1S for a week. Only issue is battery. So xiaomi is ok phone for me.
