How to root v29??

Hi guys,
Just got my Redmi Note today and attempting to root it to port over all my apps&settings from the old Android.

1st thing I did was to update the MIUI to the latest version in view of the security issue, to MIUI-JHDMIBF 29.0 (ie v29). Then I tried rooting it with both the framaroot & rootonly methods and both failed.

Can some kind soul please advise or point me to the right place on how to root this note? Kind of in a limbo now cos all the whatsapp msgs etc are still to be ported in.

Dark? If you think the photos I post below is dark and bad then I got nothing much to said.

Xperia Z? That phone camera lens great where a lot manufacture use it include Mi but Sony as usual destroy it output bad result. I own that Sony phone I know it. Even latest Sony Xperia Z2 output also pretty poor as Sony always did wrong in photo process algorithm.

Sony camera lens is one of the best but it became worst when use by Sony itself.

on every phone restart, turn off the battery saving mode. It help a lot.

Is your phone on latest firmware v29? Mine was laggy out of the box on v23. After the update, it is so much smoother.

You are also aware that top grade DSLR/DSLT of Nikon , Canon, Sony Professional series Full frame also have variations in Dynamic range , colour temperatures , sharpness in the photos taken ? So all of those cameras are also lousy if their photos taken the image quality differs from your camera?

Dude, software makes a hell of a difference. Try using different apps. I'm better off using other apps . The default camera app is mediocre.

Unlike u guys who compare photo quality w diff phones. For me personally, the Note is good enough for my travels (dual sim) and food shots. Hahaha.
