It seems this Xiaomi note and Xiaomi 3 has got many problems. Even Zenphone 6 seems to be hit with problems. Is cheaper phones like that?

i couldn't compare statistics, but in general all electronics are like that, you will always have DOA products within any brand

Sometimes cheaper products used lower quality products.
In term of hardware, the xiaomi note is considered good. I feel that this is the best price you can get by far for this kind of quality. Other brand, similar spec will cost you at least $400

In term of software, I feel that the note still need many improvement. It is quite buggy. But majority of android is buggy. Even my Nexus, using stock android is buggy. I used to be iPhone user. In term of software stability, iPhone is superior. However, to me it is very restrictive. So, I can say it is tradeoff. Nothing is perfect..

But when compared with Samsung, I'll choose Xiaomi anytime. Samsung is a cheap product offered at premium price...

My friends and I are having this issue.
Tried different keyboard but didn't help much.
Don't have this problem in my Original Redmi.

The phone is able to detect touches, but it doesn't register as an input.
You can try tapping on "f" and "g" quickly, and it will come up like this: fffgfffffgffff
Seems the problem is only when the keys are close to each other. No issue with "a" and "L"

Did you off the "CPU power saving mode"?

Yes, still lag.

yup its irritating isn't it. do you just live with this problem then? my previous mi3 was so much better with the keyboard. is this a software problem? hope they can resolve it in the next update or something...

Well hopefully this is just a software issue and can be fixed with an update..
I raised this issue to the Online chat support and they told me to wait for an update which "hopefully" will fix the issue that we are having. :s12:

Meanwhile, lets confirm this issue over at their forum.

Slow keyboard typing can be fixed by turning off send static or internet in keyboard settings

tried all the above but it is still laggy. is it just my phone? the moment i type a little faster, there will be one alphabet that cannot be detected or something, resulting in a typo. wasn't like this with the mi3 or any other android phone that i have used.
