There's a lot of rumours bout MIUI v6 for the 1st gen Note. Just not sure of its actually gonna happen or not.

Thinking of I should give up waiting and just move on

Is the black note casing in matte finish or in the shiny material like the original white one?
Can't be 100% sure. Looking at the photos on the xiaomi china webpage & comments, seems like the black version is matte, while the other colours are glossy

Note: the tmall site, black black seems OOS. The xiaomi china site, black in stock, but haven't tried buying from xiaomi china store; heard is more difficult (e.g. Need china credit card)

miui terminates apps that have been running in the background for a while

it only allows services to keep running

this differs from stock android in that u don't unwittingly leave apps running in the background that ends up draining your phone's processing and electrical power

u might want to consider using their stock "clock" app

So hard to find a matte casing for this phone

i've tried locking the app (hold 'back' and swipe the icon downwards) but still didn't work.

the stock alarm is not bad, just that it is lacking a function to skip the next alarm.

i have here on my desk 3 phones:

1 redmi note
1 redmi 1s
1 redmi

the vibration on first 2 is so weak compared to the redmi even if set on strong is hardly perceivable. I googled and a lot of results come out so I guess I'm not the only one. however people also mention mi3 as very weak but I had it before and I didnt feel it was weak. What's your impression ?

The new version 37 is quite battery juice draining :(

Hope the next version would solve this issue
