Ah ok. Thanks for that. I suppose I didn't encounter that situation since Redmi already $169, much more than the minimum.
Try Singtel at Parkway. Prepaid card bundle.
Do you happen to know the price for such bundle? Thought of getting one for my kid.
$169 for the phone and $20 for the hi card. So total is $189.
Cannot comment on Mi3 but Redmi. Is not 1 to 1 to normal Andriod phone. Good enough for day to day use.

Redmi is well-built and runs pretty fast despite the humble specifications. More for average user rather than power-hungry one. I actually found it to about as fast as my Samsung S3... haha
Really like the dual-SIM feature. Can easily send SMSs and make calls through either SIM card.

it is using micro SD.
I think miniSD is now defunct
If you want assistance from Xiaomi, I have found their online chat support to be quite good. Perhaps not so much of a language barrier that way.

its uses microSD card. ultra term is given for the transfer speed of the card, marketing gimmick nia. like, turbo , super fast , tok kong.....
get class 10 and above, agar 14.95 for 16gb now at Giant...

recommended 32Gb, 64GB a lot of Redmi users confirm, but it can support 128GB, GPGT, reformat the SD card to FAT32 format
it should be able to detect.
