Same I also still using the gen1, check the router and make sure ur 2.4Ghz network encryption is WPA2, newer router uses WPA3 which not compatible with older Xiaomi ecosystem.

Else setup a guest network using only 2.4Ghz with WPA2 encryption if you are not comfortable setting Ur main network to WPA2
Thanks. I have created a new network using 2.4Ghz but still unsuccessful. Strangely it could connect to my phone hotspot but I could not get it to connect after I switched off the hotspot.

Haiz. My workaround to reset the wifi settings each time to reconnect as fresh. With it, I got another new issue, Error 3. Lol. Prolly it's time for this tank to retire.

Just snagged an X10+ for $280. Mapped and cleaned 1 round so far no problem. I like it!

Some questions:
1. When drawing a virtual wall, its very difficult to move the wall line. Is there any workaround for this weird software bug? I googled and found nothing.
2. I have a peculiar problem: I dont want it to struggle up and down trying to clean the sliding door's track between living room and balcony. Quite painful to watch. I cant set a no-clean zone as the minimum width is about 1.5 feet which is too wide. I only need a no-clean zone of 3inches by 1.5meters, so it'll just pass over this track zone to balcony and avoid trying to clean the track. I tried a virtual wall but need to leave a gap for it to pass through, and it tried to clean that gap struggling to and fro the track again. The virtual wall is quite thick too. Any other ideas?
Solved: close sliding door but leave gap to cross, plus lay a narrow rubber sheet over the track during cleaning

Thanks

Happy to have bought a xiaomi bot cos cheap spare parts galore on taobao/shopee. A few sellers offer a fully rubberised roller as alternative to the original semi-brush rubber roller.

Would fully rubberised no-brush roller be better if anyone has tried?

Hahaha. Yalo. I am looking at X20 Max but concern about the WIFI connection. Then again, this tank still works fine.
I also read all the Xiaomi robot unable to use detergent of any type, but some owners did tried using Dreame ones are fine.

I'm using roborock detergent for x20 max and my previous vacuum. No issues.

Xiaomi service centre in SG is amazing and very few people there. Meaning their products seldom spoiled within warranty period.
