Currently have existing wiring for my dashcam wired to my cig port. But am gonna look for the 70mai pro 12v -> 5v converter before I wire it to my fuse box.

Of course, that I'll leave it to my workshop. In JB

Wondering if it's a good idea to buy an external battery pack? Or use the Sony battery pack with 2 way charging and Chuck it in the boot

Li-ion batteries are not very stable especially with the heat during the day. Hence, it is not advisable to leave them in the car.
