anyone using the Xiaomi router with Starhub fibre? Does it work well? Looking to replace the Dlink 850L
It should work with starhub. What are you hoping the Xiaomi will do better than the dlink?
Can advise how to connect Xiaomi router to StarHub cable? I connect to the WAN but get that no internet error. Sorry I’m an IT noob here so please teach me senpai....
P.S: I tried some guys earlier comment to connect to avoid double network error... but also failed
Are you on cable or fibre broadband.
If it is used router then try to do factory or hard reset first.
This is to remove any previous IP in the router in the previous settings.
Should it still not working, maybe try to contact 1633 direct to Broadband tech support line, not cs.
Inform them on your connection problem as they can see your connection at their end.
Follow their instruction..
For cable broadband if you change your cable modem, you need to inform them on your new cable modem.
Xiaomi pro router is not bad but no new firmware updates for 1/2 year already
Trust me, 1st Gen/3rd gen xiaomi routers are heaps better then gen 2. It's like no man's land. At least gen 1/3 has support for 3rd party firmware. No such luck for my gen2 *sigh*
Hi guys, just a disclaimer i’m completely clueless about routers or internet stuff but basically im looking to change my default singtel router to the xiaomi router pro as i have many deadzones in my house. wifi superrr weak in master bedroom and the singtel router is in the corner of my 5 room flat. so im just wondering how to set the router up? im currently signed to the Singtel fibre broadband 1gbps. for example the new router connect to where?
