I think it is unable to change the language keyboard during smsing? Especially if I want to type mixture of Chinese/English. Now I set default as Chinese keyboard.

When you press in the text box, there is a small keyboard icon at the top left hand corner of the notification bar. Bring down the notification bar, select the "Select input method" item, and you easily change the keyboard.

I have sent in my 2-week-old Acro S for servicing due to scratches on the scratch-resistant screen after some exposure to sand on the beach (IP57 !?). As I had used micro-SIM adapter (an unfortunate confusion by the Telco I bought from), apparently the service technician further damaged the phone while trying to extract the SIM card out.

I have been waiting more than 2 weeks since for the repair work, and the outsourced service centre folks said that they are still waiting for parts -- Sony apparently has difficulty in shipping the required parts to them and there are no ETA for any of them.

So I am faced with the possiblility of losing use of the phone for months! Is such poor service performance normal for Sony mobile in Singapore?

Hmmm, I thought they will borrow you a temporary phone. Forgotten is it Nokia or Sony? :(

For example, If you want to change between CN and EN, that I advise you to use the Xperia Chinese Keyboard after selecting the input method...

Actually Sony scratch-resistant claim is just BS. I always put a SP. When I first bought the XS and notice that the demp units has so many scratches, I knew it would be tough to protect the screen. Coming for the SGS family using the Gorrila Glass, our Xperia glasses are really really scratch prone...If only Sony decides to use Gorrila Glass.

I have just bought the MW600 and have use it with the phone and running PowerAmp instead of the Walkman app.

I have already face 3 reboots. I wonder if anyone have any similar problem. Is it because of hardware or app?

On a related note, I notice there is like a 1-2 secs lag on the sound when playing games and using the MW600...anyone has this same problem too? However playing video and music seems fine...

i thought sony phones have a layer of shatter resistant film on the screen that is not scratch resistant? so if you want your screen to be scratch resistant, you either got to remove the shatter resistant film or apply a SP that is scratch resistant?

Ohhh, so can I just apply a SP on top of it without removing the shatter resistant film? :)

I have a copy of Xperia Acro S brochure in front of me.. it reads "Shatter proof sheet on scratch-resistant glass". This is oxymoron -- why bother to provide a scratch-resistant glass when there is no way for it to be effective? Is there an intent to confuse the consumer?

Almost every phone advertised to be scratch-resistant gets scratched in a way or other. Because its only scratch-resistant, not scratch-proof. There is a world of difference between being resistant & proof.

Why is that water still able to damage water-resistant phones? It only resist water to a certain degree, same goes for scratch-resist properties.

I was not contesting the degree of scratch-resistance of the screen. I was referring to the advertised statement which implies puting a non-removable shatter proof sheet on top of a scratch-resistant glass.

1. The sheet is scratch-resistant & not shatter-proof. It is on the screen by factory settings.
2. It is removable.
3. The screen & sheet is only scratch resistant, as well as any other sc on the market.
