Hello. Anyone mind sharing where you get any trustworthy and reliable screen protectors for my dearest, Xperia C5 Ultra?
I mean tempered glass kind.
I got my white C5 Ultra for 4 days already. Thoroughly like the phone as really value for money at only $470 with such a long feature list.
Came to know about the LCD issues on second day of ownership. Checked that the LCD is from Innolux with Synaptic touch screen, and no yellowish tint when view at an angle. Really sighed a big relief. After tweaking the white balance, the screen is really bright and beautiful, not the default whitish tint.
But what I cannot tahan is that the phone has resetted itself a few times when it got warm, the screen became not responsive and reset itself after about a minute, not sure what is the issue hopefully can be remedied by a firmware update later on, which is rumoured to be released soon.
The tiny power button can also be jammed at its depressed position easily if you press it abit hard and at certain angle, causing the phone to reset itself. Wonder if any owner encounter this? I would be very forgiving if the phone come with 'double tap' wake up feature, too bad not there.
So to me, this phone would be perfect if the above 2 flaws could corrected. Now keeping the phone till I cannot tahan.
I encounter before after using jimmy (mobilelite)been a week or so using my C5 ultra, few things i noticed from using the phone
1) sometime click on the screen not responsive, i dunno if it's because of my screen protector but will need to click 1-2 times to hit the icon
2) you have to use your thumb to click most of the stuffs, if using index finger sometime the phone won't detect the click (same issue as 1)
3) phone gets hot easily, dunno if it's because of my casing but i dont think it will get till so hot as compared to my Z ultra.
any of you experience the same as me?![]()

Smoothie works so much better
Sent from HUAWEI P8max using GAGT
what's Smoothie?
Is this a dual sim 4G phone?
After getting a matt screen protector and back casing, my experience with C5 Ultra became much better.
With the slight recess of the screen in the back casing, I no longer "mis-touch" the screen when holding the phone. The matt screen protector removes a lot of reflections. Though screen now appears darker, I just crank up the brightness abit to compensate which put it at just about 20% of its maximum level.
The phone also no longer shutdown when it got warmer after a firmware reload.
Really worth it at this price point.
