A few users from this Sony subforum said write email in to complain if you're pissed enough... :s42:

Only they will know for sure whether job is big or small after they open up the phone.

Tink I'll sell the phone once I get it back.

Title: WTS SONY Xperia SP 2weeks old for $400

Phone still in Sony Xperia service centre awaiting collection. Use less than 3 days realised camera button not working, so sent in for repair on 25 May Saturday. Phone was bought on 21 May Tuesday Evening.
Free new tpu transparent case and protector screen. Received both item while the phone still in repair centre. No chance to use.

Like tat OK?

Collect the phone first. Whether you use 3 days or a month, by the time you collect it back (god knows when), it might have been a month already. The value would have depreciated quite abit already.

Its just a small problem, don't let it dissuade you from using it. I've been using it for 3 weeks now. so far no issues.

Do state the colour of the phone too if u really want to sell. However, I hope u still give the phone a chance, unless u want to upgrade to a Z or ZL=)

not sure if me or is Arc's camera way better than SP.

Got SP on 1 June

Should be the same as both are 8mp. Maybe its the settings on the SP. The superior auto mode on the SP is kinda cmi. I usually use normal settings which gives a more natural effect to it.:s22:

CHeck your camera button.

Mine send to sony xperia service centre since 25 May, bought on 21 may. Called them 3 times but none from the service centre reply to inform the status what is wrong on my phone.

Going to 2weeks liao without the phone.

you will like the size of the SP. was using a desire S too. sold it just before getting the Z and the SP. Z was a tad too big for me personally.

The only thing i can complain of is starting up of the camera with a slight lag vs the desire s which was almost instant. Switching from the htc to sony interface was fairly painless.

email to them. give them the date and time you called but yet to hear anything from them. If they do not respond within a certain time (eg 2 days if thats your threshold of tolerance), let them know you will write to CASE.

I suspect no parts/waiting for parts to arrive or they can't solve the problem. Try to see if they can give you a one to one exchange on the grounds that it has been 2 weeks and failure to call you back. Just because its a mid range handset, doesn't mean you deserve a mid range service.

If only they had given a better front cam for the SP. I really wish they did.

Is it possible for this phone to install/transfer apps directly onto the sd card without rooting? The 8gb internal memory seems to be a dealbreaker for me since i like to install lots of apps like games.

You should be able to move yr apps installed in the internal storage to the sd card. Settings-apps-Selected app-move to sd card iirc
