Not as much experience with other phones other than Samsung, Sony and HTC. Am using the U11+ and it is a fantastic phone other than the crap software and security updates. Was looking so forward to getting the XZ2 Premium but Sony is so foolish to offer such a premium phone with just 64GB. Had to pass because of this. Need at least 128gb and the second sim for my Malaysian sim. Don't want to keep swapping the SD card in and out. Hope the Pixel 3 XL has at least dual sim but that is wishful thinking.

Yes, wishful thinking that next iPhone or Pixel will be dual sim..

Well, thanks for the reply and advise on this, i actually thought that i should have include my brief "feeling" about each major brand and flagship for you guys to understand my "preference".

Apple - Iphone 6+ & X - Great phone, utlimate fluidity, ecosystem doesnt suit me (freedom) & single Sim

Samsung - S8+, love the sleek design, software way better than last time, but dont like exynos processor (i wanted to use Google camera apk for pixel which requires Snapdragon), and software performance will deteriorate over time

LG - V10 & G5 - software is well optimized, wide angel camera is love but cant compare to standard nowadays, i quit because of bootloop.

Sony - XZ premium - fingerprint scanner need to wake phone only can use, overall great, but to me the network (data reception) wasnt really that good back then.

Huawei - Mate 9 pro & mate 10 pro - technically a beast, superior battery, but can still feel Kirin is lagging behind Snapdragon on gaming and also because the camera APK issues, and lastly, no wireless charging, slow to no android updates.

Oneplus - Didnt even bother to try because of Subpar camera, hence not flagship to me.

HTC - U11+ - another beast, all rounder, fluid, snapdragon too, quit because dont like the fact that HTC is not that famous and no wireless charging, not so premium to me.. (well this is on me, but i love them, really)

All the above phone suffer Bluetooth Issues (Except LG & Apple), when i connected bluetooth audio device to the phone, 3 different earpiece and one megaboom, very often the music will still play from the phone although device is connected, googled a million times but no solution to date (restarting phone will solve the problem for the next connection, after few connection, the problem will come back, definitely not a hardware issue)

Pixel 2 XL - All rounder, fluidity after Apple, HTC catching up, clean UI, every minimal thing is perfect, feel premium too, i actually thought i will stay put with Google and bought G5 as my spare, but gosh, i really cant stand single sim especially when i travel :( :( :(

Overall, i love HTC, Sony & Google

Why XZ2 premium : all the specs tick the boxes, second fastest android updates after Google, and yeah basically have my eyes on them since they announced.

Yeap i know i can wait for this phone to be available again from Mobilehardware, but i am just so eager to get my hands on it.. hahaha..

Sorry for the lengthy post.

I am using Singtel on my XZ Premium, so far no network issues.

I am not using Bluetooth devices, but I think this technology still requires further refining to work well for audio devices.

XZ2 Premium should be able to wake the phone by fingerprint sensor, so it is a plus from XZ Premium.

Some mobile shops may be able to sell the phone on same day of release, you may want to call and check out if you really buy without telco contract.

XZ Premium also can unlock directly using fingerprint sensor too. Just press and it will unlock it.

The only qualm I have is that the capacity only comes in 64gb.
For a flagship, I would think option of 128gb should be a standard offering.

No problem. As not sure unlocking between XZP and XZ2P got changes to it?

Just preorder the chrome silver one from Somerset.. yeap it is now touch and unlock instead of touch, press and unlock. Well it is not entirely new but quite new for Sony.

Oic. More easy to unlock. Haven't got chance to molest it yet. Will go try it.

No problem, just sharing.
I may consider this phone too but I am not due to change mine now.

Certainly not a major upgrade from XZ Premium but the brighter display, better camera and bigger battery caught my interest.

Just as jiayelim mentioned, xz premium needs to press the power button in order to activate the sensor for fingerprint.

XZ2 Premium works like many other phones, it just read the fingerprint without pressing (touch the sensor) any buttons.

Sounds like the sensor is enabled when phone is sleeping, not sure how it affects the battery life though.
