actually hor..for a 7D 6N trip to japan..how much yen would you all change for one pax..assuming hotel accom would be paid via credit card

it varies... some things to consider:

1) shopping - are u planning to shop a lot?

2) itinerary - where u plan to go? u need to factor in the entrance fee to places such as tokyo tower and disneyland. u also need to budget for transportation if u are gg somewhere far, such as lake kawaguchi.

3) food - simple food or expensive restaurant?


for my japan trip last year, i spent 70k yen for 16 days.
this include about 10k on toys and the remaining on food and transport.
my meals are quite cheap... usually about 500-1000yen a meal.
transport mostly covered by 10days JR east pass, except for bus rides

man, these days anything can happen in a month.. from now till september is a really long time

when i went in december it was around 17

but i heard decades ago before their boom in the 80s it was 6 as in $6=￥100
