while its true that the cost of ut is generally higher, i think in this case its also more of the investor problem.

care to elaborate more on the investor prob? i suppose u know the fees and general portfolio breakdown of all the ut u r holding. do u intend to continue holding them because u foresee a bounce back?

i dislike ut because of high cost, little transparency and high risk. i put my money into etf, reit and mf instead.

while i agree fully with your characterization of the ut, i think on retrospect, it could be mitigated if i can understanding or hedging the product better. yes, i intent to hold it till it breakeven at usd 88 for arkk.

how did you deploy that 800k into that UT? over a period of time

what if it never recover? Ever consider switching it over to global equity etf to ride out the next 10 years?

Wow 800k+ cash fully vested. Literally opposite of me. But as some pple in this thread say, no guts no glory.
Even in today 2024, imo one shot whack 800k into stock market is too risky liao....

I previously only mentioned 50-100k can stockpick one stock and whack whahaha

800k, I would have sell 1 buy 2 liao in 2021 instead.

800k into global equity to hold over 10 years seems reasonable to me

it's over a period from 2021 to 2024. i first bought it at usd 150 and had been buying since until my current breakeven price at usd 88. no plans to switch yet.
