Pf has a good start for 2026. Liquid networth also ATH as another million was accumulated in a very short time compare to the first million which probably take a decade or more. However, I will be without a paycheck after September. I am expecting accumulating phase to be over by then and a 100% spend down of any investment return.

It's a whole different ball game trying to invest while withdrawing money.
Do you have a separate dividend-paying portfolio or rental property for retirement income?

After retirement, I will be spending 100% of my dividend and interest with zero input to the portfolio for 10 years. After that , I will start selling a few % of my corpus every year till I die .. Hope to die with zero but it will be an impossible task

Unless you don't own a property then there is a chance can achieve your "goal".

Was fortunate to have taken down my single stock exposure last month after a ~400k drawdown, the swings in my equity portfolio was getting a bit crazy.

The market pump in Jan 2026 was insane. You should track the meme stocks or unprofitable stocks and take that as a sell-signal when they pump too much.

Yea the pump in Jan was insane, extreme greed. Probably should have taken more $$$ off the table sooner.

I came across this YouTube video and found the retirement advice quite practical :)

Those advice also get you faster to retirement .. I don't have a problem retaining my wealth but I have a problem in spending more after retirement especially after living frugally for so long. My goal now is to spend 100% of my dividend and interest so that I stop accumulating.

Actually you should give yourself a pat on the shoulder. Living frugally for so many years and reaching a stage where you don’t have to worry about retaining wealth is already a good place to be. Many people unfortunately face the opposite problem - running short of funds and having to delay retirement.

Your idea of spending your dividends and interest makes sense. It’s like letting the portfolio fund the lifestyle while keeping the principal intact.

Any summary

(Stay Away) [09:41]
(Stay Calm) [15:00]

I have somewhat of a similar issue. Been living simple and as I see around me.. this person cancer that person cancer.. I feel I should treat myself better and indulge sometimes.. but I still happy with my Uniqlos and hawker fare.

In the end, "extra" monies go to buying stocks

How do you psyche yourself to spend the dividend & interest?
