Don't want to take too much risk but still want to join the excitement can realized half of the profit and another half continue with the excitement. More then half a mil to punt if up few hundred % is still very exciting leh and u got half of the profit safely in hand also.

true.. but the last time i did that... in March 2020.. I lost out in around $2-3mil in potential gains... My AMD, WKHS, QCOM and others got a few multibagger ... 3x to 10x.

That's why ... my luck not good :(

Always sell out at the wrong time

Got what use?
In real life.. cannot live in luxury..

can compare down.. but cannot compare up..

and i am more mad abt my inability to hold on to gains.

every year... i will ask how to hedge..and i can't figure otu how to hedge without losing the gains..

Not learning .. and not improving on this roundtrip aspect.

What exactly are you looking to buy or do that you can't afford to now?

My sunw also sold for measly gain. Bought 0.30 sold 0.42 last week was $25. 50 baggers. Still got many like it in 2020. But how can one know what's going to happen in the future. Better to look at the gain and don't think too much what u could have gain.

bro, “don't overestimate what you can do in the short term and dont underestimate what you can do in the long term.”

You are just FOMOing, high risk, high return. try to aim for stable.

probably looking at 20M?
8-15M for a decent landed on D9,10,11
1-2 M on 2-3 cars including supercars
Rest of money for investments/expenses/charity/YOLO/kids

At least thats how i feel if one wants to be considered wealthy..

And after that? I think he is not far from 20m already if not already there. Damn tiring to keep chasing.

I can imagine him to be afford quite a few nice things in life and for those that he can't afford, is it really worth the effort to chase them?

I'm just thinking out loud on the perennial question "How much is enough?"

We always compare with our peers, like school mates, workplace buddies. Maybe Focus1974 peers are all much bigger shots? Are they from the movie Crazy Rich Asians?

My boss dropped me in his car today. I just realized, I hadn't sat in a car since more than 1 year already. Not even a taxi. The last time I sat in a car was the taxi journey returning from vacation in Dec 2019, from Changi airport.

I'm slightly younger and know people who are living the high life. GCBs, fast cars, fancy restaurants almost every other day and luxurious holidays. Sure its nice to have that kind of wealth or even those level that can basically settle your children's retirement but I also wonder what's the point of constantly chasing if I'm not going to enjoy what I can afford.

I'm pretty sure you are already top 1% in Singapore already. Why not enjoy life a bit? I'm guilty of this sometimes too as in not treating myself better. Not materially but rather spiritually

Comfy middle class lifestyle with zero pressure to earn active income is very good already.

Very agree to this.

I think i need to start scaling down my trading activities. The game is fun and feel shiok when score points ($), but sometime it also stressful with lack of sleep.
