The Chinese are aggressively buying gold instead of thinking of ways to bump up their economy.

Actually many failed to see Trump common sense: raising import tarrifs, so as to negotiate reduce or zero export tarrifs. Bilateral trade benefits

ccp Xi only interested to raise import tarrif, they had no intention to negotiate or abide by fair trade ~ only feed themselves, kill other countries production.

Zero export tarrifs, works in favor of buyers & trade ~ lower inflation. Trump should be awarded with Nobel prize for COL.

U must understand what trump is thinking ..u think he will let those countries escape with 10 percent tariff.

Matter of time the high tariff will take effect after 90 days

US is a relatively young country compared to China. Been through so many ups and downs, tariff is nothing to them really.
Depends on where you draw the line.
If talking about new China setup by the CCP 1949 ~ 2025 = 76years
Comparatively the declaration of independence 1776 ~ 2025 = 249years.
US has has gone through civil war and unrest during those times.
It is not really that young lor.

But I can agree the ups and downs cause by the CCP during that time had
make people of that time more resilient. How about now?
They had enjoyed the periods of great prosperity after 2001.
Want to ask people to go eat roots and bark again?
Normal ppl maybe still ok, how about 粉红s,官后代,军后代?
Think they want to, or can endure?
I foresee if there is possibility of a regime shift, is the time when
they think they have had enough.

I notice one thing....

Many don't read what's posted. Only read headline.

I thought this only applies to young kids fed on 30 seconds summarised video movies....

This is mostly the fault of the people who put up the news. They know that way people will click.

For example a headline like ... "LKY comes back to life ".............
in a new stage production by the people who produced Snow Wolf Lake.

Xi is not a capable dictator . His vision and direction of how china should move forward is muddy and unrealistic.

the real win for Trump is he successfully bring global attention about trade balance between countries as main problem with globalisation. this is going to change world trade. dun need guess most countries have trade deficit with china except those africans and australia that export raw materials to china. these countries will now be more mindful about trade deficit with china and their govts will intervene more in trade. this is y countries in ASEAN and many other countries lining up to meet with trump its not because of trump tariffs threat only, it is for their own development interest too.
