Any 3gb plan user can advice will zero1 reduce throttle speed further than 1mbps like the 1gb plan?

I'm considering circle life base plan vs zero 3gb plan..

Assuming i want to port over from Starhub to Zero1, when my contract with Starhub is done.

If my contracts end on, for example 1 Nov, this means i can register with zero1 on that day itself, and zero1 will send the sim card over by maybe 4 Nov, and the porting process/card activation will be done by 5 Nov.

What will this mean for my Starhub line between 1Nov and 5Nov?

Will I still have the line provided by Starhub and it will terminate once the zero1 sim card activates?

Will there be any additional charges from Starhub from that few days?

TIA :D

You should just apply for Zero1 2 to 3 days before the end of your contract.

When your starhub contract ends, you still will have your starhub line, just that it would be more costly as it is not on contract rate. Those days after your contract ends till the port over, starhub will charge you based on prorated cost with the more costly rate.

Hmm... No one can answer you this question... We are not from Zero1... Zero1 will also not tell you and give you standard reply that the throttled speed depends on the location, netwrok traffic, etc...

KPO meow comes already :s13:

mmm.. zero1 always reply to my emails, not so bad.

registering for tpg starts already? :s11:

Maybe you are lucky that they reply your email. You can read from here that quite a few bros got problem getting response from them, especially when you are writing in to cancel the plan.

TPG registration is only to register interest so that they will email you once they official launched.

Don't see the value in getting phone with a contract now since there are sim only plans.

If can't afford to buy phone outright then get a cheaper phone.

Before tpg announced that they will be the 4th teleco, teleco here still uncompetitive but now tpg will face teleco that are prepared

You are wrong, contract plans are still good with CIS. There are some CIS with big discounts. For example MOE (teachers) enjoys 40% discounts for M1. I also heard of other CIS plans with 50% and 60% discounts. When those discounts, they are in fact more value for money then SIM only plans.

They already spent alot on the bid and can see their equipment on the ceiling of alot of malls. would be suicide if they were to pull out

I am not saying that they will pull out but when they decide to split from the main company in Australia, there is a chance they are waiting to be bought over by another company. The purpose of the split is to lower the company value so that easier to be bought over.

Even if they are not bought over, with the split, it means that they no longer have the financial backing and they probably can't really have a good fight with the existing telcos with the limited funds...

Please SIC the CIS participating coy and Teleco who offers 50-60% monthly discount. I don't believe it.

Even Singtel offers only 40% CIS monthly discount to their Singtel and NCS's staff :s22:

I heard last time one of the airlines (don't know Singapore airlines or what) CIS discount is 50% or 60%. Now not sure still so high or not.

Those 50% and above are not available for the masses.

Oh sorry. Maybe M1 offers higher CIS discount to secure market share..

My speed test result

From 1.3mbps they reduce to 1mbps.

After exceeding 5GB, Now I only get around 0.6mbps. :(

if 0.5mbps $9.90 for me still acceptable, but not for $13.90 for me.

Still have 5 months plus to consider... mmm will still continue to see how the speed goes.

u already paying extra 10 bucks registration fee. so its actually 11.60 per mth .

No la, zero1 3gb ($19 or $29.99) user's "estimate" throttled speed experience can be informative to us depend on how much data they already been used since Zero1 don't wanna tell us.

Zero1 don't wanna reveal throttled speed maybe they can keep on alter & alter. :s27:
(I first time ever bad experience that throttled speed can anyhow alter from 1mbps to 0.6mbps) :s27:

You see like M1 they say fibre 300mbps they can inform you 291.3 to 299.6mbps

" Then the rest telcos can say, throttled "estimate range" speed is 1mbps for which plan (just an example)"

I read Zero1 1GB-unlimited Terms & Conditions before and again.

They never informed us about any of altering managed speed!

For 1GB-Unlimited plan
2) For your data consumption, you will enjoy 1GB worth of data at 4G speed and thereafter, your internet speed will be managed and optimised. We have tested the managed speed on popular applications such as WhatsApp, emails, Facebook, Instagram, Spotify and Youtube and for common usage, the apps will work normally. This move is to ensure that every customer will be able to enjoy the best-shared resources.

What do they expect us to do with the 0.6mbps after 5GB being used.....
They expect us to Youtube with 144p and 240p quality!? Damn right?

As EDMWer "MrAwesomeX" said "I dunno this unlimited speed seems like a trap."
I sure says it's a SCAM !

Why not? I can share my experience with 1gb plan, I can't see why 3gb plan users can't share their experiences? If they are willing.

Who is asking for Zero1's answer?

managed speed means it can be as slow as they like. Sounds like u came from a communist country and its your first time reading advertising material...

Ps my internet speed in my Indonesian house use to be slower then 0.6 Mbps and we still managed. Just have to pre download YouTube videos to watch if u do not want to hog all the bandwidth to stream at low quality.

I must be the only 1 that doesn't watch videos on phone :s13: . I much rather go home to watch on my 4k TV then the small phone screen.
