(1) The number u are using will be alive for next 3 months without any services till you top up.
(2) Jumbo plan does not support overseas call and sms. If u wanna keep for overseas OTP, I suggest to go for the $6.90 starter plan will do
Thank you so much for your reply!

Happened to saw this 12u plan as an option under ‘change plan now’ in the Zero1 account dashboard.

Seems like Zero1 will be launching a 12 GB plan soon. I predict that it will be priced at $11.90. Also guessing that it will come with 200 mins and 200 SMS.

Current plans available are:
$6.90 Starter - 6 GB, 150 mins, 100 SMS
$9.90 6u - 6 GB, 200 mins, 200 SMS
$17.90 50u - 50 GB, 500 mins, 500 SMS
$24.90 80u - 80 GB, 800 mins, 800 SMS
$12 Jumbo 60 - 60 GB, 500 mins, 50 SMS
$20 Jumbo 100 - 100 GB, 800 mins, 100 SMS, 500 mins IDD

Update: OCWorkbench has blatantly used my screenshot and wrote a similar news article on their website without my permission. Poor journalism ethics.

More likely to be cheaper to take on Vivifi. Otherwise why pay $11.90 for 12GB when I can get 20GB for $11, and on Singtel too ?

Yeah it’s to compete with Vivifi perpetual $9 for 9 GB and Zym $9.90 for 9 GB + 5 GB bonus. Cannot compete with Vivifi promotional $11 for 20 GB.

I was hoping for Zero1 to launch a plan between $9.90 to $11.90 and offer 10 GB to 25 GB, but with the existing 6u plan at $9.90 I think Zero1 will not price the 12u plan below $11.

Personally I think the 6u plan should be removed as it is no longer relevant after they launched the $6.90 starter plan in Feb 2022 and $3.50 Voice 500 for 500 mins (on demand) add on in Aug 2022. The plan is also no longer competitively priced against other Singtel MVNOs.

Just saw today there is additional 60u 5G plan. :s14: Zero1 might be the next Singtel MVNO to launch 5G (probably NSA only) after GOMO. Wonder how much it will be priced when launched. I’m guessing between $24.90 to $29.90. Updated the screenshot in previous post.

That's much earlier than expected. Singtel unable to recoup the 5G investments because their first party subscribers not biting?

If the rest of the Singtel MVNOs also launch 5G plans by this year then I think Singtel strategy is probably to capture as much market share first (be it directly under themselves or their MVNO partners) given that they currently have a lead in the 5G rollout. Once market share is attained just need to retain customer.

Also 5G is likely to consume data faster than 4G so what seems to be more than enough (example 50 GB on 4G) may not be enough on 5G. Telcos can offer higher data bundle 5G plans later on to increase their ARPU.

Why would anyone get that when there’s $12 jumbo plan

Jumbo plans are ok only if you use it locally. It doesn’t have the following value added services.

1) Caller number non display
2) Voice and SMS roaming
3) Parental control
4) Add on packs for local talk time or SMS

Most users can do without 1), 3), and 4). But 2) is crucial if you want to be able to receive SMS OTP when overseas, or be able to make/receive a voice call overseas, or make international calls locally.

I wonder what's the price point for the NSA plan... $19.90? $22.90?

If it's priced the same or higher than 80u ($24.90), it would be a very dumb move.

Also, will the Zero1 NR NSA customers get VoLTE? As of now att SingTel MVNO customers still haven't get VoLTE right? (I still never see it on my ZYM Max)

well tbh more different plans is mainly targetting at different audiances. some might want only a certain part of it and some wants extra things and so on ....so creating more means more customers will flock in and get the plan that is very much cater to their needs or usage.
