using zero1 classic after they give the free gb making it 22gb. Sufficient for me.

Zero1 is good for light to moderate user. Can watch YouTube in 480p without reloading but using Shopee app (eg.) is a painful experience.

Last year there was NDP promotion all the way until 31st Dec 2022 to get $1 off for first 3 months and $2 off for 1 bill payment.
Zero1 stopped referral code for very long already.

You can sign up about 1 week before the date that you intend to port over. This is so to have some buffer to ensure that if there’s any issues with your sign up (for example NRIC upload is not clear etc) there is enough time to rectify and process. Your bill only starts from SIM card collection/activation so no downside to sign up earlier.

Typically Zero1 will process your application within the same day (if you applied early in the day) or the next working day. Once the application is successful, you will receive an email saying that you can collect start to collect from SingPost. But there is no strict date to collect, so you can delay and time it to collect on 26th April, since you want to port out before your next billing cycle from your previous telco.

The date that you collect your SIM card is the date that the porting will be done (later at about 11 pm on that day), assuming it’s a working day. For myself, I collected mine on a Saturday morning and the porting was still initiated Saturday night at about 11 pm.

my zero 1 finally activated, since using singtel infrastructure the reception is as expected. My other card is singtel so the reception of both always same level.

If it’s possible try and use both lines concurrently in a crowded area like during peak period in MRT. Some have said that Singtel has higher priority (than it’s MVNOs) so it won’t have so much speed throttling. Personally I have used GOMO (previously) and Zero1 (currently) and both I have experienced significant speed throttle until below 1 Mbps when it’s really crowded.

You're not using data on Singtel line or Zero1 line?
Calls and SMS use very little bandwidth only so unlikely will be affected.

I mentioned that i am not using the data on zero line, because i have singtel line.

I am using a dual sim phone

Others like vivifi, myrepublic, redone are 256kbps throttle range which is unusable for streaming.

I plan to switch to Zero1. Can please share your zero1 throttle speeds, can go to website like fast.com it shows your data speed, thanks.

if 1mbps its really decent but some groups I read say zero1 below 500kbps throttle speeds. Since their 4g data is only 6gb, so decent throttle speed after that is really imp!

If it is really that important, then one should consider the likes of Zero 1 jumbo plan ($12/60GB) or Heya ($10/100GB) or Simba ($10/100GB)

The "unlimited throttle speed" is not for streaming but just basic messaging so one should not be dependent on it for tasks beyond. One cannot expect to have "Fresh + Big" and must be "Cheap" all together in one.....

Depends on amount of users on Singtel network at your location. Priority goes to actual Singtel subscribers.

Not congested, will be 1 Mbps. If very congested, 400-600 Kbps. You might still be able to watch videos (painful), but don't expect 720p and above resolution without a lot of buffering.
