The porting in was a bad experience for me. When you sign up for port in, it didnt even give me a temporary number. I was told that i can only activate my esim 1 to 3 business days after my current telco signal disconnect. Today i realized that my telco disconnected liao but their esim still cant activate. This mean im gonna to have 1 to 3 days of downtime during this port in process. Which is kinda bad, lucky this is not for my main line.

U have to keep trying. Maybe by tonight u can activate your esim liao.

Porting to services that do not provide a temporary number is like that one lah, it will have a certain downtime. But it is true that porting to services that have a temporary number has less downtime in the sense that typically on the night of porting the signal gets cut off at around 9pm or thereabouts then the number will be ported to the new service around 12mn or 3am thereabouts.

Just wanna confirm when Z1 mentioned

600gb msia roaming for 365 days, means 600gb will not reset every month but roll over every month for 1 year?

And 15GB roamAP means every month reset?

The 600gb is one time only, valid for 365days, quota reduced each time you use within the year. No reset

15GB is monthly reset.

Need some advice from gurus here. Porting to Z1 from 8. Selected self collect physical sim. Acknowledgement email asked me to wait for another email in about 3 days before heading down for self collection.

Do I have to wait for the email? Or can I go down straight?

It is better to wait for the email.

ya, after 1yr see if u wanna port or stay. Pretty sure there will be better deals around by that time. Anyway now with the stay 6mth and get 6mth free SG60 promo, although u pay $15 upfront for 6 month and get the remaining 6mths free, it's basically $7.50/mth over 1year. Why not? Where can you fifnd such a good deal under singtel infra with 5G network? 🙃

Sharing my experience, ported out from Simba because I wanted ST network

Sunday PM - Submitted application
Monday Night - Received email to collect SIM card
Tuesday PM - Collected SIM card at their service center
Tuesday 10 pm - SIMBA line cancelled but no signal on Zero1
Wednesday 2 am - Zero1 4G online (Can't receive SMS OTP)
Wednesday 2 pm - 5G access turned on, now can receive SMS OTP

Speedtest shows 5G is faster than 4G for me. Will check again after the 3 months trial is up.

Based on your dates, what is the effective date of your Zero1 plan? I am planning to port-in also, but would like to time it just before my Eight plan expires so i maximize most of my current Eight plan

I dunno, I just like my cycle date to be first of the month.

This only applies to plans that are monthly not 30 days.

For example zero1 is monthly while eight is 30 day cycle, so even if u get day 1 for eight, the day will still shift for months that are not 30 days.

After 90 days, it seems to stay on the 5G network but run at 4G speed.
thanks, bro. Wondering if other bros have similar experience. Now considering between porting into Zero1 or Vivifi, and the 5g is a differentiating factor.

Have not signed up a new line with them recently, but my primary line has been on Zero1 since Jan 2024, the 5G network after 90D definitely feels like and runs like 5G from Speedtest results.

Thanks for sharing bro. I agree because I was using zym. But the ongoing free 6 months promotion can't be used with Zym, since I was with them within 12 months, so looking at Zero1 or Vivifi instead.

No need to time, Zero1 will prorate the first month bill, then subsequent bills are aligned by month.
