Thanks everyone for your help, I have successfully ported my circles line over to Zero1, the process is smooth and fast. Just want to check I have another line which is singtel prepaid card, is it possible to port over to Zero1?

I saw somewhere it is possible to convert to postpaid then port over to gomo, does anyone know whether it is possible to do something similar for Zero1?

i have not done it before, but it should be possible.
once convert to postpaid, then you have more options to port out (not just Gomo)

In theory thats true. But I am also wondering if they have any defensive tactics to prevent prepaid customers from going elsewhere, perhaps there is some penalty or rule that stops customers from immediately porting out after they convert to a postpaid singtel plan.

my experience, almost 1 year ago (Jul or Aug 2024). no defensive roadblocks to discourage me from porting out after converting from pre-paid to post-paid

* at somerset (or was it 313?) changed ownership of hi-card
* when done, cso told me at that point, can port to singtel (eg sim only).. if want to port out to non-singtel (including Gomo or other MVNO), have to wait 3 days for database update.
* 1 week later, i ported out to Simba. porting was smooth and no problems. no minimum stay requirement with post paid sim-only.

edit: things may have changed since.

Every telco charges it, some will list it on their FaQ
When I was still with M1, they don't charge for it.
Singtel charges, so Zero1 and probably others using Singtel infra will charge.

You might be able to avoid the global SMS by not enabling iMessage and not letting Facetime to contact you over your mobile number - but every now and then, if I remember correctly, will get an annoying alert, can't remember what exactly - something about there might be charges.
Eventually, get tired of it, just let the global SMS through and pay 18 cents to stop the intermittent alerts.

About Z1, does 5G stay after 90 days for a new Z1 number Starter Prime(4G)?
Mine still seems to be active when I tested earlier, after supposedly expiring in Mar this year. I was surprised to find it active again. It could be active permanently for all (can anyone else corroborate?)

Yours is a port-in or new number.
I have been with them since 2022.

They just tacked on the "3mth" 5G trial late last year or Jan this year (?) onto my existing plan. I did test it for one day on my phone during Feb, then switched back to 4G. I didn't know the "trial" kept on going till now. Either that, or it's a new trial period.

Z1 updated their Streamo Freedom plan to have perpetual 5G, $15/mth good deal for those who port in and get 6months free.

there are only two service counters in previous service centre.
now, there are three service counters on first floor of Harper Point.
all the office ladies should be relocated to upstairs office.

Quite annoyed to realize despite being no-contract, Zero1 does charge an “admin” fee (of $10.90) to change to a cheaper plan.
