So when z1 roll out 5G SA, we need to go down to the shop to get new sim card again?

I helped my helper to apply too for the port-in. apparently for foreigner, i have no delivery options. So have to go down to self collect. the email says must wait for another email/sms for scheduling of collection. do we have to really wait? cause i applied for her on friday and never receive followup etc

StarHub Prepaid S Plan (5G), my daughter says the signal is very bad even though she got 5G connection. She can barely browse the internet. She is using Poco X6 Pro as well.

M1 Maxx with Poco X7 Pro: fall back to 4G LTE-A. Pretty okay 4G signal and speed.

Singtel SIM Only with Poco X7 Pro: no issues with 5G SA.



Today it is raining, next time I will try Beach Road Curry Rice.

My daughter told me this is a remote place once she walked out of City Square Mall. Then her shoes were broken. So we are back in the mall.

Why you all go around testing for the telcos? This is their job as network engineers leh. Haha.

I treat it as a hobby, just like my learning of the home network side. Learning by watching YouTube, read articles on line, and carry out testing.

Enough SpeedTest liao for Singtel SIM Only, Maxx and Eight 4G. :ROFLMAO:

Maybe I will try SIMBA in the future. And StarHub Prepaid S 5G.

No interests in Singtel MVNOs.

Main thing is to check out the 5G/4G band used, 5G SA or NSA, 4G LTE-A or LTE, bandwidth, etc.

Speedtest is just a tool. I actually learn more with NetMonitor app.

Also watching YouTube about 5G/4G network structure (eg: RAN and Core Network), how VoLTE, VoNR and VoNR works, 5G modem chipset, etc.

Just curious to learn, not an expert, and not working in this field.

Anyone knows why im not getting 5G after recently signing up for Streamo Freedom 5G $15 plan. My phone is constantly on 4G+. Im using Oppo Find X8 5G, no issues with other MVNOs in getting 5G signal. Already restarted phone/used airplane mode to reset connection but to no avail
