To hit 1gbps must be very near the base
yes. Indoors shopping malls are quite covered. Many months back on maxx, i've hit 1gbps easily. Peak speed reached 1.34gbps.

M1 and SH shares the same 5G SA infra. So they are quite well rolled-out I think singtel prioritise stability and they need to handle more customers, as they have the most customers (before m1-simba merger).

No lah.

It depends on the location but the following is kind of the overall situation.

M1 and Starhub share the 5G infrastructure and still lag behind SingTel in terms of 5G coverage. The gap will be reduced once they fully deploy 700 MHz band. SingTel got the 700 MHz band license earlier than Starhub and M1.

M1 4G coverage is worse than SingTel and Starhub.

Good thing about M1 is that the network is less congested so you may get pretty good speed when you get the coverage.

Does zero1 5g plan shows 5G+ on your phone? Using oppo find x9 pro here. Only shows 5G but using apps to check it's already running on 5G SA mode.

AI reply:

which phone will show 5G+ when connected to 5G SA in singapore

The display of "5G+" when connected to 5G SA networks in Singapore varies significantly by phone brand and carrier configuration, and it's important to note that many phones will simply show "5G" even when connected to 5G Standalone networks [1][2].

## Phone Display Behavior

**Samsung Phones**: Samsung devices typically do **not** display a "5G+" icon, even when supporting 5G Carrier Aggregation (5G CA) and 5G SA [3]. Samsung phones show variations of the standard "5G" icon - either outlined or filled - but these indicators relate to whether 5G is actively connected rather than whether it's SA or NSA [4][5].

**iPhones**: iPhones (13 series and newer) support 5G SA, but they generally display standard "5G" icons rather than "5G+" in Singapore [6][2]. The "5G+" indicator on iPhones in other markets (like the US) typically refers to mmWave or mid-band 5G rather than SA specifically [7].

**Chinese Android Brands**: Phones from Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and OnePlus that support 5G CA may show "5G+" depending on carrier configuration, but this varies [2][8].

## Singapore Carrier Considerations

Singapore operators (Singtel, M1, StarHub, GOMO, Zero1) have transitioned to 5G SA networks using 700MHz spectrum, but they don't consistently use "5G+" branding in the status bar [9][1]. As one carrier noted, "You may not see a separate '5G+' icon. As long as your phone displays the 5G icon, it means you are already connected to the 5G+ network" [1].

The "5G+" icon display is primarily controlled by carrier firmware configuration rather than being a universal standard [2], making it inconsistent across different phone models even on the same network.
