Any folks here ending the ST MVNOs free X months promo from last year? How do you folks plan to strategise your connectivity needs after it ends? Given that most 5G plans are now around minimally $12 - $15/month.

I thought of getting dual lines, 1 from CL and 1 from ST MVNO which should set me around $17-$18/ month with 5G access and continue to have high availability from 2 providers, given the recent stability issues with ST. Backup providers seems like a need.

How many lines do you have now? If only single ST MVNO line, you can always start to try another line. It is pretty cheep to try a new 5G line now, S$12 to S$15 per line as you mentioned, or as low as S$6.7 to S$8 if you use the promotion codes from CL.

CL S$8 5G plan with 8GB roaming may be worth trying. Then adding Zero1/Zym S$10.10 4G plan with free 5G trial, total monthly bill will be S$18.10. Or if you do not want the hassle, just stick to ST MVNOs' S$15 5G plan, total monthly bill will be S$23.

You can also bank on free M1 Maxx base plan by paying one month of M1 Maxx 5G plan at S$12 and then stop paying.

Even eight 4G S$8 or SIMBA S$10 plan can be tested to see if it can be usable for you or not. Both may be among the worst SIM Only for local usage but both are good for roaming including free roaming voice.

All in all, there are many options for the second line even if you want to keep the ST MVNO line as the main line. You can start to try now, or you can try just before your promotion ends.

Unlikely ST MVNOs will have promotions like 6 month free out of 12 months though, let alone 9 months free.

Even eight mobile seems to give up on one-for-one top-up offer.

You should be able to do that with Zero1 or VIVIFI.

Zym will charge you first two months upon sign-up. But the first month is pro-rated. So not bad either. But take note Zym may have terms and conditions to prevent existing customers in the past 12 months to enjoy the promotions.

CMLink had similar terms like Zym but they have not announced this global roaming data bundle promotion yet. Maybe they do not follow the other three ST MVNOs this time.

VIVIFI seems cannot. Their TnC also says:
If termination/ port out is triggered before a minimum stay of 2 issued bills, you will also be charged a subscription fee for the remaining months.

Interesting. CMLink and Zym used to have the 12 month terms very clearly stated for promotions for returning customers. Now seems no more such conditions for both.

zero1 will charge full month upon sign up and then charge 1st month's pro-rate in your 2nd bill.
