Looks like Singtel and Singtel MVNOs can deploy 5G SA to all customers by 31-March-2026.

On the other hand, I am very doubtful that Singtel can really shut down 5G NSA by 31-March-2026. I doubt they can really sort out the issues in March 2026. If they do that, we may see more switching between 5G SA and 4G LTE down the road, which may drain more battery compare to 5G SA to 5G NSA switching.

Starhub/M1 may probbaly be possible to shut down 5G NSA by 31-March-2026, since the 5G NSA network for them are not that as important.
now looks like singtel and MVNOs do not plan to go SA-only on 31 Mar. Zero1 removed the mentioning of this date from their 5G+ faq. Maybe change to 30 June this time? :D

singtel always like that..
3G shut down, M1 and starhub finished 30 Nov 2024. Singtel just finished in late 2025

1) M1 shut down 3G on 31 July 2024.

Yes, it’s time for 3G to power down and take its final bow on 31 July 2024, paving the way for True 5G network high-speed connectivity.

I only got one M1 Prepaid SIM Card in late 2025 so not affected by 4G or 5G SA migration. It is already 5G enabled and I can get 5G SA.

2) StarHub shut down 3G from 1 Nov 2024. Take note the "from" word. Not so sure they really shut it down on that date. Need confirmation.

I exchanged three StarHub Happy Prepaid 3G SIM Card after that date cause I noticed no signal from one of the phones. But I forgot the exact date I went to StarHub Jurong Point Shop to exchange the three StarHub Happy Prepaid Cards, probably early 2025. They changed the cards directly to 5G SIM Cards. So now we can get 5G SA after the migration to the new StarHub Prepaid S plan (5G plan).

We're switching off our
3G network from November 2024

3) Singtel is saying that 3G network is closing from 1 Nov 2024. Take note the "from" word.

But you are right some users may have access to SingTel 3G until late 2025, based on your testing.

Our two SingTel postpaid SIMs are 4G enabled so they are not affected by 3G shutdown. But I changed them to 5G+ SIM Card in 2024 using SingTel Shop Kiosk.

Then I totally forgot that we still had one old 3G MicroSIM which came with the Fibre Broadband subscription back in Feb 2012. It is actually classified as a postpaid as per IMDA classification. Anyway I got the card exchanged to 5G+ SIM in 2025 with the help of SingTel Jurong Point Shop staff.

Our SingTel prepaid card is also 4G ready. I exchanged it to the new 5G+ SIM Card late 2025 at a SingTel roadshow.

Singtel as usual, will say they have much larger number of subscribers, like 3 million lines to move. So switching off 3G is Phase 1, moving customers from 4G/5G NSA to 5G SA is Phase 2, then shutting down 5G NSA is phase 3.

They also have to look at commercial side. NETS and POS machines most are using singtel. This morning, when i was at mcdonalds for breakfast, walao the POS machine so slow.

Zero1 after 30 days can port out, right?

With 3rd month free, should port after 30 days, or 60 days since they shouldn't be charging the 3rd month?

Asking for a friend...

vivifi vibe, with first 6 mths free 5G+.
I never receive any SMS or email saying upgrade to SA.

Asked in vivifi thread, no one replies :D

so good. why vivifi doesnt want to give me
Probably, not a lot people are using vivifi here. I suggest you contact their customer service, email or chat with them, why aren't you on 5G SA yet.

But if you are on those 4G (with 5G trial x months), you are likely going to stay as it is, as these plans does not technically comes with 5G. The real 5G plans are plans that cost $15/mth onwards.
