Hi, has Blindxpert made good the installation? I got a quote from them which i think is competitive but am now concern of their service. Anyone can share a reliable company which is not overprice?
Unfortunately their service sucks big time for Blindxpert. Had a big argument with the boss of this company. Here is my story: Paid 50% as deposit to secure my order for invisible grille and ziptrack. Two days before installation, the sale person called me saying i need to pay the full balance before installation date. This is something which is unheard of in the industry. Sales man claimed that this is the company policy and he forgot to inform me. i challenged him if is company policy why it is not stated as the payment terms? i guess is a white lie from him. Called up the so called manager of the company called Will. He reconfirmed that this is their company policy and said they have cases whereby customer cancelled order after paying 50% deposit. i disagreed with him then why we should absorb all their risks. He kept saying that this is their company policy.

Part two. The installation was divided into two days. First day was the installation of invisible grille. i got a shock when the installer asked if i am going to install ziptrack. i asked him why you asked this question, aren't you guys from the same company? Apparently they belonged to two different companies and they didn't speak to each other. The IVG installation was fine though.

Come second day. The installer of the ziptrack who was also the same person who came onsite to take measurement asking why i have invisible grille installed on the side of my balcony facing the aircon. He said that will blocked the access to aircon. i was stunned by his questions and deep inside my heart i knew they must have screwed up the measurements. i told him my aircon can be accessed from my bedroom windows. i warned him that if is wrong measurements please do not install as there will be gap to cover up. He claimed that the measurement is correct. After the installation there is a gap and they need to use additional L bracket to cover it. Aesthetically it was so damn ugly.

Complained to the boss and got heated up in our argument. He claimed that he cannot accept F words being used and hung up my phone. i told him off if you dare to collect full payment you should jolly well face the reality of such complaints. i pitied the salesman. He tried his best to salvage the situation but the boss of the company never reach out to me at all . This is my side of story. You can reach out to me at 9767 0328 and i can showed you the results of their installations. For those who are still considering, please think twice. The payment term is already a big Nono and unfair practice to us and he dont even have guts to put it as a payment terms and i think we all know why.

Hi, we just installed zipcurtain for high floor >30, using a local brand. They told us it's 1% permeability for water, wind and heat; before purchase we tested a piece of sample under water tap in their office and no water came through.
This morning after the rain our balcony is quite wet, especially one side of the balcony can see water droplets as if sprayed water. is it normal? Now the sales lady just tell me it's because of wind direction.

Zip blinds better get good quality motor I feel.. Ziptrak you are paying more if brand ba I feel. In fact there are alot of zip blinds in the market. Find a company with good aftersales service I feel will be better. But note zip blinds are not 100% that your balcony will not be wet. If the wind are very strong, you still get your balcony wet one no matter 1% or 3% open.

It's reasonable to expect rain to pass through since it is 1% permeability plus with the wind constantly blowing.

I have done zip track in my house from Blindxpert last year and is all good. I just let them handle all the zip track.
Personal experiences with blindxpert has been well. Love their competitive pricing too. Support as been good.

Is original Ziptrak really worth the price premium? Is it true that local suppliers cannot match in terms of quality of material, workmanship and after sales support (do they really honour their warranty)?

Ziptrak is the brand. TBH there are alot of other ziptracks in the market some are used by architects and designers. If you are keen can ask me I can advise you.

but they have a clause, the fabric may or may not sag so that is a normal sign.

The sag will be abit more apparent if going for panoview.
Not sure which vendor offer panoview beside ziptrak.
Ziptrak frosted fabric can provide rain out with some light coming in which is an advantage to me.

But not all condo allow and if your windload is very strong, the fabric may tear after awhile.

I have been using Zipblinds for over 3 years with Dooya motors and have no problems with it at all. My blinds either get direct rain or sun on them everyday day and there is no stain nor discoloration till now. I put my blinds up and down on a daily basis too. My blinds are a total of 7m long across my entire balcony.

Hi guys, anyone have experience putting mosquito net and ziptrak in balcony? Thinking when ziptrak is not in used for more sunlight and ventilation, mosquito will still not be able to enter.
