All manufacturers will void warranty. But that is the only way to cool it better.
EVGA honors the warranty even when the sticker on their GPU is removed, as long as the card is not damaged by user. The idea of warranty is to protect buyers against manufacturer defect, not from users' own clumsiness in handling the product.

No. If the product is defective, they would first check if the item was tampered. They would then reject RMA for that product.

The sticker is there for that purpose.

No, you can swap out and replace the HSF for EVGA and they will still honor the warranty.

The warranty sticker goes both ways, to prevent tampering by retailer and owner. If you damage the card while meddling with it, no warranty will cover that.

looks like evga is kinda odd one. I am assuming now that they dont have tamper sticker.

There are still ant-tampering sticker on their screws from my recently purchased 1080. They will honor the warranty as long as it is returned to them with all original accessories attached to the item. For those running LC, that meant fixing back the original air cooler with the original screws; losing any items and yes, they can void your warranty.

Good to hear that. It will be within my buy brand catagories for graphics card.

likely cause is because my fans start to spin only at 60c, I have been trying to use msi afterburner software to control the gpu fans but is unable to enable that option. it was greyed out, what does that means?

meanwhile i temporarily resolve by using an old school method of air conditioning and external room fan to introduce cool air into the casing.

You can't compare it this way. There are many factors that will affect temps, regardless if the GPU is cooled by a massive heatsink or not. For example, the fan may be spinning slower to reduce noise (typical of MSI), or the ambient temps in your case, etc.

Download zotac gpu software instead.

I am using msi gpu, will other’s software work with it?
Yes. Can use any of them like evga precision, msi afterburner or firestorm. I've tried both afterburner and firestorm on my zotac GPU and it works.

Almost impossible to tell damage unless it’s physically damaged

I am using Zotac 1080 mini. No overclocking and temps are reasonable as well. Even when rocking games on a 4k screen, 60Hz. No major issue with it if you are not an overclocker.

I am not sure if you are using a GPU from MSI? If so, then the fan will indeed kick in at 60 degs. To be honest, if the heat is not causing it to throttle or hang, there is no need to worry. I leave it to the software to determine the speed of the fans.

Take note that when using external fan to blow into the casing, you are introducing a lot of dust into it. I did that once in the past and after sometime there is a lot of dust in there. Even without the fan, as long as the casing is open, it should be cool enough since the hot air don't recirculate in the casing.

thanks for advice, I have on-screen overlay to monitor utilization, temps and fps. by the time the fans kick in at 60c is too late the temps will continue to climb to high 60s before stabilizing at 67 (air conditioning) or 77 (room temperature)

because when gaming at night after work I only have 1-2 hours and I usually switch on air conditioning.

when gaming the temps really increases from 40s to 60s like no one business (makes me want to put the cpu in the freezer)

definitely does not thermal throttle but I can see the temps and the fans are just beside ): I can see lol

Don't worry man. The hardware is meant to take that kind of heat. I mean if you are using the air conditioning to cool yourself primarily, then that is not an issue. However if you are switching it on because of your concerns about the GPU temps, then you really don't have to. Like I said, they are built to withstand such temps, and you don't have to treat them like a person. ;)
