Got this phone yesterday to replace my Note7.


So far experience has been good. Sound was amazing but realized that Dolby Atmos equalizer keeps changing every time. Is there a way to save the settings?
When it works, sound is amazing. Note that I collect audiophile stuffs so I am very critical to sound quality.

Also the navigation keys are a bummer. No backlight so can't see **** at night.

The qHD amoled is fantastic. Note7 still is much better but quality is close to my previous Nexus 6P. Good thing is that it allows you to tune (unlike Nexus) so for me, Normal/Warm setting is best. Close to the colour temperature of my new iP7+. Everything else seems bluish.

Another thing is : I need to find a better case! The one that came with the set is not good. Makes the phone look cheap.

Ayy this one ez fix. U buy the glow in dark sticker. Then paste near buttons. Or those luminous ink

I think the clear TPU case that comes with it looks good. Provide minimum protection and able to see how well this device is build

I went to the shop at marina sq to have a look at the phone on Saturday. It felt good and everything looks sleek. My Google nexus 6 is still performing well after a year of use. If not, I would go for this hp.

Just bought this today. Notice some missing feature and inconsistency on my set.

1. I can't seems to find and set their featured dynamic lock screen. Not inside wallpaper and themes. Any idea?

2. The latest update I got is BO3.

Kinda worried since the retailer @ typ seems dodgy. Worried they sneak an export set to me. Zzz

Did it have an IDA sticker on the box? If yes then it's local.Also are you using a third party launcher on the phone or the default mi launcher? Think this party launcher doesnt have the dynamic wallpaper

I thought currently only US set have dynamic lockscreen? B03 is the latest OTA unless u download B05 and update it manually.

I feel u...
If u wanted a big screen, water resistance...only ip7+
Others will b 5.5...water resistance only sammy.
On top of it, good camera, stylus support....

Only quirk is the capacitive buttons. Can't see during them.
Hope they can enable onscreen ones (like Oneplus) in future updates.

You can use LMT like "pie control". Not sure whether you need root..

Just bought one to replace my Note 7. Going by all the reviews and for it's price point. really quite hard to beat! Since already downgrading from Note 7 might as well save some money until a proper Samsung flagship comes out.
