The update.zip for B06 is a full firmware installer. I don't see any reason why you can't.

I have been using the B08 for about 2 days and below are my findings:

+ Dynamic wallpaper with "ZTE locker" is a nice touch
+ Notification info are presented by default on the Lock screen
+ Faster fingerprint unlocking
+ Android security patch level dated 1 Dec 2016
- Although the firmware has been updated to B08. History (under Updates->Settings) only records the updates up to B06.

Anyway, I couldn't bear the itch and went ahead to update my phone's firmware to B06 and then to B08.

Steps for the latter:
1) Copy the "fota_B19MR_B22.ZIP" to root directory of SD card
2) Reboot the phone to Recovery mode [Shut down first, Press Power + Volume-Up keys together and hold]
3) At Recovery mode menu, navigate to install the a/m ZIP file from SD card.

Yep! B08 brings all the goodies mentioned earlier. So far so good..

Can help me check if your SD card is micro SD XC or HC?

Moi finally find out how moi phone became limited edition B07. Our ZTE here reports all feedback regarding the axon 7 to China HQ, which means the person helping me must have installed the software meant for the A2017 model on the A2017G model, but weirdly it was functioning fine. If Liddat can hor, can install us version or not ah? XD Better not

But can't interact with the notification. I.e quick reply for WhatsApp or message

It doesn't matter whether it is XC or HC... you are just copying firmware file into the Root SD card.... the read/write speed for updating the firmware is controlled by other processor.
XC is only required if you are into multi-media like video taking.

For B06 upgrade, only the "update.zip" file needs to be placed in the root directory of the SD card. After upgrading to B06 successfully, remove the update.zip file and replace it with the fota_xxxxxx.zip (B08 firmware) file and install from Recovery mode.

If still cannot read from the SD card, then I think there is something wrong with your phone..
