OK, I can update from recovery mode I have to enable OEM unlocking, but, I still can't update.
Anyways, can any programming sexpert tell moi what does this mean :
E: Error in /sideload/package.zip
(status 8)
Installation aborted

E is my SD card, but moi no money get another SD card leh

Exactly what versions are you trying to update from -> to?

If you're getting that error it sounds like you're trying to update from an unsupported firmware version or using the wrong firmware.

Get B05 from the ZTE website, then update with fota16 to B08.

I think I have mentioned in my post above... IT has nothing to do with your micro SD card....

You can test by setting the camera saving folder to your micro-SD card and take some photos and videos.... then go there and see whether the photos and videos are OK or not..

You can update from B05 to B08 with fota_B16 (800+MB). Unless your device stealth updated to B06 but is still showing B05 (unlikely).

From B06 to B08 you use fota_B19 (200+MB)

Dude, you have got to calm down and read our instructions carefully. That's probably why you're having so much trouble. You didn't even OEM unlock and those were the very first steps!!

And unless you bought a pirated SD card it probably has nothing to do with it.

Changed the saving location to SD card, took a photo and a video, both were fine.

So now we can confirm it's not your micro SD card issue.

I believed from previous postings, you have exchanged your original set before so this is your replacement set, rite?

.... And you are still facing problems, that would mean user problem.

Why can't you live with the working firmware ?:s8:

Haha I'm the type that would wanna update if there's a update.
But if I can't update even if it's not compulsory, then that's a problem right?

Yes this is the replacement set. I wished I didn't request for the replacement set when the solution was to do factory reset T.T
But well, I knew only after a few days after I got the replacement when the person helping me told me when I went to collect my VR headset

Sorry, been bz with my moto z lately. a quite fit guy wearing spec updates e sw for me. he say e sw not released for ota yet... but so far so gd esp 4g beri fast and no lag

Thanks. That sounds like the same guy who attended to me.

I am using B08 now and I think it is the best firmware. The responsiveness of the fingerprint scanner is now on par with the Nexus 6P I had used previously. And of course, the default presentation of notifications at Lock Screen is another boon.

Hope ZTE fixes/enables VoLTE on the phone soon.
