i cant even finish 50gb locally, more data is not even enticing .. more roaming data and location is and free IDD roaming calls
1 TB roaming data for 365 days
roaming calls coming soon, but only countries which have shut down 2G and 3G and launched VoLTE
msia no plan to shut down 2G, so no roaming call anytime soon

I’m also facing iMessage/FaceTime activation issue since I ported over to ZYM on 18 May 2025.

Contacted CSO through WhatsApp this morning and got a reply in the afternoon. Tried what was stated in the reply but still no go.

So after 3 hrs and turning back on iMessage/FaceTime and still not working after about 30mins, I rebooted the phone and was prompted to turn on iMessage/facetime. Select turn on and I check back about 30mins later and both activated.

Hopefully it helps those facing same issue though not sure if u need to inform and give cso your number.

I’m still having trouble with activating my iMessage and FaceTime with the mobile number. Got the same reply with the cso, tried everything and still not working.

Waa very good… they nev reply my msg but i tried this… turn off imessage/facetime last night. This morning turn on again and less than a min both activated.. finally!

Anyone sign up online before 31 May and collect SIM card and port in after 1 Jun? Is the free 6 month still valid? Seems so from the T&C.

me. Collected on 6/jun and port in completed same night. The guy told me that I will get 6 months free. But not sure where to see the confirmation.
Anyway I pay $18.52 when collecting the SIM card (for this month prorate n next month subscription). Then originally I got 4 other lines which have a billing date of 10/June. Should be $40.40. But they charged me $21.88. So not sure what happen. So guess they will bill the shortage next month.

Feedback on Zym's roaming

Japan, Kyushu : works well!
China, Guilin: cannot connect at all.

Zym whatsapp is also totally unresponsive when I feedback on the lack of data roaming in China

For China, must manually select network to, China Unicom or China Telecom.

I had problem connecting in Hei Long Jiang. In the end, need to get a esim to tong till i get back to Har Er Bin where the connection is stable.
But the funny thing is, my mother-in-law got connection on her Redmi Pro while my wife and I had no connection at all on our S25U.
I managed to get in touch via whatsapp with zym. Did all the troubleshooting but still cannot connect. I took out the sim card and put it in a Vivo (Y93) phone, lo and behold, it was able to connect to zym,China Unicom.
In the end, they told me to contact Samsung instead as they did a line profile reset on their end.

Just sharing my experience for use in China.

Only CMCC and China Broadnet showed up when I tried to manually select.

When i reached out via WhatsApp, total silence, even till now. My poorest experience with Zym to date. Previously their whatsapp was responsive when I wanted to upgrade plan.

I'm using a S21U.

Hmm.. That's strange. I will always see,
CMCC
CHINA Broadnet
China Unicom
China Telecom

But no internet when I connect to China Unicom or China Telecom (in 黑龙江 only though)

Perhaps you can get a 2GB estimate to tong first till u get back to those BIG city

Previously when I was using GOMO (Singtel’s MVNO) in China, Chengdu city was still ok, went up to 九寨沟, 黄龙雪山, all no network at all. Manually select also no use. I suspect Singtel’s MVNO in rural areas don’t work as well. I was stunned, my colleague’s SingTel no issues.

where you hear that Zym is going to offer VOLTE roaming calls?

zym only has unicom and telecom for roaming, and telecom is inferior compared to china mobile or unicom, so default will always latch to unicom.

I suspect your own phone has not turned on the data roaming setting, since it works when you put the sim in another phone, plus you were able to latch on to the network but unable to use data.

Only singtel can check what exactly is the issue when you are roaming with zym, which is an unfortunate disadvantage when using MVNO to roam

Thank you for your advice.

What other data roaming setting I should turn on beside turning on data roaming?

The ZYM guy told me to get in touch with Samsung for some settings.
