Newstar is fine for Mi Max.

However, I would suggest a Self collection. That would be the best so that you can check the handset on the spot and any defects, exchange for a new set on the spot. :)

As for purchase via Shopee, give them a call. Give them your order number and tell them you would like to self collect.

Just checking.. are these sets provided with warranty? Thanks

On MIUI 7.7.11.0, always getting error messages -

"Unfortunately, Notes has stopped."

"Unfortunately, Google Play has stopped."

Very irritating.

How to get rid of these error messages? :(

Guess you are on developer version. When you are on dev version, you should be expecting some bugs.

How did you find the experience please?

So far so good.. the last xiaomi phone i was using was the redmi note 2. UI and interface is similar.

Phone is responsive and didnt see any lag so far. 6.44inch of screen make it prefect for reading, watching video and gaming. i have huge hands so no issues with the size.

Yet to test gaming performance and battery life but for the price of 269sgd, i believe this is one of the most bang for buck phone u can find in the market.

Wrong nougat!

Should be this...

Anyway, there was a leaked MIUI 8 6.12.29 ROM based on Android 7.0 Nougat for MiMax Hydrogen/Helium posted on miui.vn forum and shared on XDA forums last week. However, the links have since been removed (they were directly from miui.com).

Have tested the Nougat ROM on my 32GB MiMax the past few days and there is quite an improvement in performance, both in daily usage and in benchmarks. Most noticeable is that Apps install and update much faster than before.

As this is a beta test China ROM (and leaked!), there were plenty of bugs and FCs. Gapps however runs perfectly after updating to latest Google play services for Android 7.0. No issues with Playstore or Google sync. This ROM has Vulkan API and VoLTE enabled as well. Most custom Android 7.X ROM for MiMax don't have VoLTE enabled.

Haha sorry, I actually meant the experience collecting from the shop etc. Was the phone in good order?
