I've got a slight problem.

Couldn't use the fingerprint sensor.

Removed and added new fingerprint, then rebooted also cannot.

The only way that seems to be working is to switch off the phone, switch on back and add a new fingerprint all over again.

Very troublesome but hey, the phone's only 200 bucks.

Did you turn on "Prevent pocket unlock"?

Haha, too many phones already. Trying to justify the Mimax as a tablet rather than a phone - Am using a Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6S right now.

how's the batt life for the mi5?

Yes. Mi5 cannot perform better than my Mi Max.

i cant seem to flash the global dev rom for mi max 32gb. i kept encountering errors during the flashing process using miflash.

You should, it prevents accidental unlock if the proximity sensor is blocked.

Try on it, then cover the earpiece part and unlock.

Depending on which platform you bought from them. Newstar provides either 1 month or 6 months shop warranty..

Thanks for the info. Got mine already just now after lots of reading through this thread hehe. My first Xiaomi phone ever. I'm able to do OTA update for MIUI 8.. Currently at 7. Is the update recommended?

Lousy battery life, lousy performance.

Only the camera is better and it has android pay.

Get a mi max better.
