Nope. Unless u have other service or replacement. It take 2 to 4 hours for battery replacement in Orchard Apple store. In other Apple authorised retail, I not sure.

Not changed in front of you. But they will run a diagnostic for you when you collect to show the battery has zero cycles on it.

my friend was told to go Alab or qcd cos they had too many people at apple store. probably not enough manpower or just too many people changing the battery.

A friend of mine went to Apple Store & was told that the queue was long & wait was 6 hrs! Crazy!

Sometimes, we as a human. Just go for it. Don’t think too much.if you have serious trust issue. Then don’t change and go see a doctor. Because I think it is a kind of illness.

I think they might do some diagnostic test. Though not confirmed, but probably have to, as to log it together with the battery replacement as a case.

Question is will they replace the battery as long as you're willing to pay for it or must it fail their battery diagnostics test first?

It matters, as the $38 fee seems to be conditional where replacement of the battery is needed according to the ambiguous statement by Apple.

Apple could, if they deem ur battery to be still in good functioning condition, refuses $38 replacement fee and instead charges you $118

Asking him to see doctor is for his own good.
Otherwise he will face the same issue when he got a gf , Wife .

And nothin wrong with asking.

I've the same problem too
