Hi! Yea i did before. But when i plug in the antenna from the wall to the dvb t2 it says no program.

Spend the money to get the Funke antenna from Courts or Harvey Norman.
It is either $ 39 or $ 50.
If you dun even want spend a cent, stream from your internet from toggle apk.

Hello,
I need help. I bought a digital tv for my mother (she’s pioneer generation) and also an active indoor antenna. I have tuned the tv but I can only receive U channel. I tried manual tuning for Channel 8 at 554000 reception level at 98% but I cannot seem to “connect” the channel. Who can help? I don’t know if it is antenna issue (doesn’t seem to be if it says 98% right?) is there even a mechanic someone can recommend to me?

what is the brand/model of the antenna?

most of the time, active antenna gives you high signal level, but it could be wrong indication.

If you are using active antenna, it is more important to look at the signal quality.

There are several possible causes your problem:
- wrong antenna position
- local interference
- lousy active antenna

try moving your antenna to a better place - use your signal quality info shown on TV to help to find the best place.

I am facing the same problem on my Samsung Qled....It is an intermittent issue, sometimes Ch5 sometimes Ch 8....

Ever raised this issue here before but seems nobody got any solution.
FYI, I stretched my powered antenna all the way out to my balcony...

I also face the exact same problem. Sometime ch5, sometime ch8. I got 100% signal strength and quality. Also using the Funke DSC550 antenna with the 4G LTE filter built in. Cos my place can get full bar 4G+ reception on my phone, so suspect is interference from phone signals... But same crap. When I check the signal info, noticed the BER (bit error) keeps jumping up when the reception got problem. Goes back 0 when the thing smooth again. Before this, people say is signal too strong, so I use those crappy unboosted antenna....also same crap.

Hi everyone

Where can I get a power inserter for the active antenna? Should be cheaper than getting a brand new active antenna right?

Back when the digital TV thing came out, IMDA gave us a set-top box and antenna. Now we transitioned to a digital ready TV, and want to ditch the set top box, but cannot find the power inserter to get the active antenna to work properly.

Edit:
Or can I connect another RF cable from the LOOP OUT port on the set-top box to the ANT input on my TV?

cutting the cable connection at the gate

I have a dumb question.

As Starhub cable service is coming to an end, the connection from the gatepost to Starhub is now redundant.

I was wondering if it's possible to cut the cable at the gatepost, and connect an external antenna?

Will I be able to feed a signal to all the points in the house via the internal CATV wiring?

Thanks

Technically ur idea is feasible, need 2 disconnect sh incoming cable from ur main splitter n connect a rooftop attenna. Best get a contractor tat specialised on CATV/MATV installation 2 do a proper job.

don't need roof top antenna, just a small active indoor dvb-t2 antenna will do. it has sufficient power to drive a few antenna points.

Thanks for both of your replies. An active antennae is the one that has a USB power thing, is that right? if so, right now, I cannot even power one TV, it keeps losing the signal. I think I will just install an external antenna right at the gate post and feed that signal into the house via the CATV points.

I just hope it will not interfere with my MOCA devices.

As for a qualified CATV/MATV person, that would be one of those starhub vendors? They can do this sort of thing?

THanks

DVB T2 signal cannot be mixed with DVB C signal in the same coax. If you are still using the cable service, then you have to wait until Starhub discontinue its service.

MATV contractors as listed in digitaltv.sg website can do the job as well.

https://www.digitaltv.sg/web/data/faq-tips/pdf/List_of_MATV_Contractors.pdf

I suggest you discuss with the contractor for the best solution. Outdoor equipment is subject to severe weathering effect.

Guys, need help here.
I connected the government-given box and antenna to this Philips TV. Source selected HDMI liao, scan here & there, it says no signal. The same setup when plugged into a slightly newer Samsung TV, immediately can see Ch5, Ch8.
What could be wrong at the Philips setup ar? Antenna/box all at same location, only plugged into different tv nia.
Thank you

"scan here & there" - how, where? using tv box remote or tv remote to start the scan?

The Philips ish a LED (hd ready) tv. Need to plug in the trio of red/white/yellow cables, else ‘no signal’.
