Usage after the sw update: unplugged my phone from 1pm yesterday until today morning 10:20am connected to WiFi 100% , SOT 3hour 45min and I left 50%. Currently using 120hz as well.
The battery life is so good with WiFi now

Finally. I too experienced a good improvement in battery life after sw update. Getting about 7 hrs SOT over a 15hrs period using LTE. This is at least a 15% improvement. I'm still using 96hz

Anyway guys , can I check izzit normal for the lock screen and AOD clock style to change to default after every reboot or restart?

Once we unlock the clock will revert back to the setting that we choose.

Maybe if you only use your phone to browse net or reply message. The moment you push the exynos to do more demanding task like taking video and photos or doing gps navigation, watch how the battery drop like grapes and the phone heat up like crazy. I've used both S20+ exynos and S20FE (SD865) and there is a clear diff. Even the SD set takes better photos esp with moving objects and sharper processing.

i read some users saying battery life improved alot after the most recent software update. Maybe the battery drain on load is reduced? i seldom game, but i want my phone to be able to last the day i take videos and photos. i am thinking of SN20U because of the of good photos and videos this phone can give me. HUAWEI P40 PRO, or the coming mate 40 PRO seems even better, but no GMS is really a headache

I think unlikely to have significant improvements as it's a hardware issue. No amount of software updates can bypass the poorly designed CPU cores of it Exynos 990. From my experience with S20+, the updates did help a bit for light use and standby drain, but it all falls apart the moment I push it a little bit. Not even gaming, but regular activities like hiking with gps and taking photos and videos along the way, the phone struggles. We're talking 50-60% battery drain in 2hrs, with phone constantly at 42-45 degrees.

Sure, it's not unusable but I don't think you'll feel satisfied with such a sub par experience on a $1000++ phone. You'll be better served importing the SD variant (if you willing to risk warranty) or just get the S20FE

I switched to the Note 20 Ultra because my contract is up and I can tell you, it runs warm when doing simple tasks like surfing the net and battery life is pathetic. It cannot last one whole day if outside. The variable refresh rate is fake. It just toggles between 48, 60, 120 Hz. In fact, the VRR doesn't even work if the environment isn't bright enough which is kinda of joke. The camera also takes very poor close up photos.
