Really tough to choose, just saw reviews of x90J and wasn't impressed. Now x95h is around the same price as Samsung 95T, any reason not to go with the Samsung?
If u need or like DV, samsung tv don't support

No comments on Samsung though cos I am a Sony supporter. hahahaha.

My first Sammie went kaput a few weeks after the warranty expired. Switched to Sony and ended up using that set, trouble free, for almost 8 years. I know it can be a bit heng suay but not had good personal experience with Samsung's products.

About same for me, have been using Sony products like TV/Mobile and never give me problem , thus have been sticking to them, never tried LG/Samsung TVs before though. But I am happy enough with my Sony.

I'll be mostly on streaming platforms (Netflix, Disney+), not intending to have any Blu-ray, would DV come into play?
Not all title, some are in DV. Did not watch enough netflix, maybe some others can comment. Older firms mostly not though

Some streaming platforms have Dolby Vision. If your TV has it and has real HDR capabilities, you'll see a significant difference.
Those budget panels from Sony and other brands won't have the capability. But the X90 and X95 will definitely benefit from it.

Anyone knows what’s a good price to pay for the Sony 43X85J? So far I only see Courts got $120 off their listed retail price. Haven’t shopped around other places yet

Price need to walk into those store ask their price. It will be much lower than listed there. It will depends on how much is the staff servicing u willing to part with their commission

yes agree on the walk in enquiry can get better pricing. But sometimes they wont budge. Then you have to wait if you are not in a hurry. I believe all major stores will have Sony Account Manager. SE will check with Store Manager or Sony's Account Manager. Its the Store Managers approval not SE. They rather reduce the advertised price (for own reason such as monthly quota etc) rather than not making any sale at all. Human nature is like that. If price is similar across all major outlets there is a tendency to hold purchase. Sales will entice you with good deal so that you make that decision to buy.

Is it 1+2 years warranty?

I'm lurking Aussie forum,.their x950h is 2.4k AUD for 65 inch only o_O But seems only 1 year warranty.
Lazada seller Sevamall is selling 65inch S$2399. Not too sure if Sevamall is a reputable seller which i'm hesitating to get the 85 inch from them. It's a parallel import thus only 1 year warranty from the seller who claims any quality issue is covered.

Seems like the only one in sg. Saves alot but 1 year it's playing lottery.

Hope we have brothers to share on their after purchase experience if they have bought from Sevamall before, they have been around since 2017 or 2018 at least.

Have been youtube / reading to balance between size & price, at 85 inch size not too much options tbh. Sony X950H is probably the best bet but only Sevamall is selling.

Sony X950J could have been the better option if not for the reported issues on light leakage & grid-like image on screen from various China's TV review.
Hopefully RTINGS.COM can start reviewing X950J real soon to share more facts.

and local ones cost $4K+? ( i dont know . did not recce ) That's like half the price. Assuming your TV went up lorry totally unusable (which is highly unlikely) that earlier $2K+ saving can get you a brand new replacement from Sevamall. The price difference is alot and should cover any repair or 1 time own replacement. :) Of course it is not 100% the same as local set due to not built for this region but you still can get by.

Having a tough decision to decide with A80J or X90J

Know they are different panels but good reviews about both.
