Just got a call from blood bank, should go down?

The needle poking i not scared, but they had an incident before and caused some infection to donors. I can't find that news article again.

So i got a call from blood bank asking me to go down and donate blood. Mine is O+ btw.
She told me the bank is running low.

I haven't been going for donations for a few years. Since they had a mishandling issue (few years back) and then some hoo-haa over blood sold to high class patients coming from overseas, i wasn't too pleased with them.

edmwers, can let me know if i should go down and do my part, or just ignore them?

how did feel the very first time u donated
some say donate cleans renew yr blood at the same time do a good did.
so for this same purpose u shld just go.
take it as donate to one u like for future use.

Bllod banks are there to save lives, regardless of creed. First come first serve. That's all there is to it.

Foreign users are not subsidized by the government, and probably have to pay more as a result.

Maintaining blood in a blood bank costs the government money. You have to pay for a staff, equipment, overheads. You want blood released to a foreigner to be FREE? That's your taxpayer dollars spent on extracting, preserving and administering the blood.

Wake up and see the bigger picture just a few inches beyond your nose.

How you know sold to foreign patients?
If so, it is ok if public hospital charge them and revenue go to Treasure of sg gov.

I thought that perhaps you were interpreting the extra fees foreigners are levied as a transactional fee to jump the line.

if u were sick or got some blood illness or even didnt declare some stuff properly cause u forgot about it, its also arrestable.

Lol, is in the questionnaire and if you answer it correctly you wont get charged la.

I always mindful about how I answer also. Dr asked if ive any allergies etc, Ill reply, "not that I'm aware" instead of just say you dont have.
