Hi,

I bought Tuya-compatible door sensors and I am able to set up such that an alert will be sent if the door is opened within a set time window (e.g. 11pm - 7am). However if the door was left open earlier (like 10.45pm) and never closed, the alert will not be sent at 11pm as the trigger is a status change (Closed to Open). Does anyone have any advice on how to overcome this? I would like to be able to receive an alert if any door is not closed at 11pm.
Don’t think you can since you already set up to receive alerts from 11pm to 7am.

Yes i have a zigbee hub, but not an Aqara one. Unless any zigbee hub can be an Aqara hub replacement? I was looking at Aqara N100, and i saw a description mentionin "An Aqara Smart Hub is required for smart home integrations"
Anyone can shed some light on this? Can any Zigbee hub be used in place of an Aqara hub for Aqara smart switches, or we need to get a Aqara hub as long as we use Aqara smart switches?

Need to use the aqara hub for aqara products. I tried to use the ikea tradfri extender with the aqara hub but it won’t work.

would like to ask regarding Smart dimmer switch options.

Intend to have Sol Luminaire lights integrated with smart dimming options on the wall switch and also a wireless switch to power it on.

Currently exploring Aqara, I see that there is a H1 Rotary switch on taobao, not sure if I can integrate it with the lights to incorporate dimming + another wireless switch at a different location to turn on/off.

Tried googling but not much information on the Aqara H1 wall switch rotary dimmers, I understand the wireless one only works with Aqara lights.
Hi, I am looking at similar setup too.. I am getting the H1 switches and might condier H1 Rotary. It seems like Orvibo setup from MC2 can do it .. their switches looks almost the same as Aqara.. Maybe we can link up to share experiences?

If you intend to use the Aqara app to add / control them, then yes you would need the Aqara hub.
Do you mean that if I use Tuya/Smartlife app to control the Aqara smart switches, I can do away with Aqara hub and use a regular Tuya Zigbee hub?

Might be possible, but might not detect it properly / have all features available, depending on whether the Tuya/Smartlife app has a matching zigbee profile for the device.
The case I'm referring to is actually using Home Assistant + a zigbee stick, which I'm currently using right now.

There are a few. You google can find them.

Tuya Zigbee Smart Lock Core Cylinder
Airbnk M531
Tuya Zigbee Wifi Electronic Smart Door Lock

a few more others.
@yeahbeatitscrub fyi, for tuya zigbee locks, you'll still to get tuya's proprietary zigbee hub to control the locks.
There's been some discussion on pairing with zigbee2mqtt but not much progress since 2 years ago

Looking to start on smart switches. Aqara vs Tuya, any big differences in the quality or durability? Sees that tuya prices are a lot cheaper. Thinking of going for tuya zigbee system.

Another qn is, hdb had a 2 way switch made for my bto, can I just replace it with these smart switches accordingly or do I need to find a special type switch or special connection?

Thanks! :)

Aqara is directly manufactured by the company while Tuya has a lot of oem, so the qc may differ from different companies.

For the 2 way switch, you can install this so you can still use the old switch (3 wire version)
